It is wild how valuable that 1 game was and how much CBS was making. I wonder what ESPN had to pay to buy out the rest of that deal.

ESPN sucks honestly.
And the games won't get any short folks. They pay this much money because they know people will stick around during the longer commercials

Going to miss CBS. I liked our game of the week being exclusive to one network.
Same. And the theme music.

Where are you getting this? The new deal should add an additional $150 million annually...which comes out to about $11 million per team.
Is ESPN going to kick in more money on their current SEC agreement?

They haven't yet

I would also like to add that I'll miss the aerial view from the blimp. It never gets old and even makes VHS look somewhat pleasant

And you thought others bitched about the SEC before? Damn, every SEC school should have top-flight facilities with that kind of payout. No excuses

ABC’s picture quality is so bad it looks like it is actually buffering. I hope the big SEC games don’t end up there.

I think it’s actually moving from 45 to around 60 million.

Beth Mowins will be cloned and her clones will exclusively call every SEC game.

CBS games were painfully long, but i liked the overall game presentation. they really did a good job making the game feel "big". it was also cool the SEC had CBS all to itself.

That's the beauty of it. I'd be good & liquored up by 4th quarter

CBS was ok, but what they were paying was an absolute joke for first pick each week AND the SEC title game.
They could have stepped up to the plate but chose not to
True. CBS made a ton of money off the SEC. Now they can slot in tiddly winks.

umor is ESPN/ABC will have exclusive rights. No more CBS.
Pathetic! Watching football games on ABC is like watching the game as if there were during a snow storm!

The rumor is Vandy kicker and special teams player of the week Sarah Fuller is to replace Gary on the broadcast! She’ll be joined by Beth Mollins on the play by play.

Wow, so your hatred Gary surpasses the production value
and exposure CBS brings to the table?
I get the that Gary talks too much but he's still one of the best analyst in CFB

Sure but their production costs are covered at least 5 fold with what they're paying the SEC.
BTW, ND games are just as long on NBC...no idea why nobody ever points this out

An extra 25m per team you say?
*Paging Gus Malzahn, please report to AD Green's office immediately*

If I have to buy espn+, I'm going to cancel cable and just bootleg all of my games moving forward.
