Wow, so your hatred Gary surpasses the production value
and exposure CBS brings to the table?

I get the that Gary talks too much but he's still one of the best analyst in CFB

The new deal with ESPN/ABC was announced several months ago...CBS was under contract for another year or 2 but it was said at the time a agreement could be made between the 2 parties to make it happen sooner.

Odd that they would do it late in the season and not after.

More night games for the bigger games, I like it!

florida has only played one night game on ABC and it was in the 2003 against miami. it was the game they blew the 33-10 lead from the 4th qtr.

here are the highlights... it was a fun game until the end.

eta: it's ironic that brad nessler was one of the commentators.

I like Sean McDonough and Todd Blackledge, hoping they get the lion's share of games. Todd McShay and Mark Jones can go jump in a lake.

Disney has their big shareholders meeting at 4:30. They must be letting it out.

Eh, I wish CBS could just extend our contract. Love the opening intro, better tv quality and more available to the public. It seemed so exclusive for the conference as a whole

I don't know about that. Arkansas and Missouri played a 4 hour game last Saturday on the SECN (ESPN).

Going to take a lot of commercials for ABC/ESPN to get its money back.

Well, if that means I've seen the last of Gary Danielson doing SEC football games, then I'm here for it.

All about the $$$...the SEC couldn't care less about production values.

CBS sec intro

I really, really, really hate to see that go.

Probably hard to turn down the money but there’s was a big intangible value for the SEC being the featured game on one network.

If they didn’t also buy the CBS theme music what are they even doing. I’ll be so pissed

They fricked up before when they bought the NBA from NBC and didn't buy the NBC theme.

ESPN just doesn't give a shite about putting on a show.

CBS was ok, but what they were paying was an absolute joke for first pick each week AND the SEC title game.

They could have stepped up to the plate but chose not to

yep. The timing of this announcement is in the middle of their 4 hour call. Doubt it's coincidental.
