Estimated payout per school to move from ~$45M to ~ ~$70M annually.

That would be a total payout of $630M-$980M for 14 teams. How can they do that with only a $250M a year deal? I'll hire that accountant!

ESPN/ABC better up their quality of production by then..Because right now it is hot garbage.

CBS brings a lot to the table outside of $$$. Such a great production. They do it better than anyone.

Surprised we are going with ABC/ESPN only.

CBS production quality and being the only conference on CBS creates a perception of better for our conference...That will now be gone if ABC/ESPN don't up their game.

Yeah the math doesn’t add up there...I’m coming up with an additional 10-15 mil per school on top of the current amount

they really did a good job making the game feel "big". it was also cool the SEC had CBS all to itself.

And this has helped our conference grow...Players won't to play in big games. And CBS helped with that

Agreed. Won't this also end up pushing one or more of the SEC weekly matchups to SECN+ since we're losing an added slot every weekend from CBS?

Frick Gary but the CBS intro tune will be missed dearly. For the longest time it seems like, when I heard the opening tune to the SEC on CBS game, I knew it was about to be a good arse game.

Sarah Fuller was just the beginning. Now every SEC team will need to have at least one transgender player as a starter to be shown on ESJWPN and Woke ABC.

Beginning with the 2021-22 season, the right to place a limited number of non-conference football and men's basketball games on ESPN+ that will allow schools autonomy to determine start times

Now SEC fans will have to buy ESPN+ to be able to watch every non-conference game.

I expect it to get worse. I guarantee they are using this year as a test run for having announcers call the majority of games from off site.

"Woke ABC": it's owner, Disney, is the company that turned ESPN into a training ground for all its liberal announcers & analysts. Prepare for a lot more blm programming.

Biggest news with the SEC contract is that we don’t have to listen to Gary Danielson

Looks like it’s going to be closer to 300 million on top of the 55 million we got from CBS. Existing deals has us already getting 45 million per year, so this gets us up to 65 million per year.

The actual SEC payout this year was $44.6 M (from bowl/playoff payouts and existing ESPN contract)

LINK

According to SBD, the new ESPN contract is in the "low $300 million range"

LINK

So, that means at a minimum, (300-55)/15 = an additional $16.3 M per year for each SEC school, so around $60M

My guess is that the $70M figure is either forgetting that the SEC takes a cut and are forgetting to remove CBS's $55 M payout.

one thing i definitely do not like about this new deal. ESPN Prostituting it's espn+ programming by doing this.

The new deal also gives ESPN the right starting next season (2021-22) to place one nonconference football game and two nonconference basketball games from each school per season on ESPN+, the network's subscription-based online streaming service. The company said ESPN+ has 11.5 million subscribers.

14 college football games, and 28 basketball games only shown on this $$$ grabbing pathetic broadcast.

frick that. ESPN can suck a dick. I ain't buying ESPN+. The entire point of having the SEC Network was to get third tier rights on TV. Keep them there you greedy, shifty rats!
