It’s a terrible job in today’s world.

No built-in recruiting. Bad location. Expectations too high due to history/tradition no recruits were alive for. P5 schedule.

Frost is likely still the “next big thing” if he had stayed at UCF.

I think Mark Stoops and Sam Pittman are both on the list and hope both say no, especially Stoops.

I think the same about Pittman. Hog fans support their team, and he seems to be a Hell of a fit there. Why mess with success ? He's getting players, they're playing good ball. Don't fix what ain't broke.

Pittman

Pittman is a razorback. Dude cried at his press conference for getting the opportunity to coach the team he loves. He's not going anywhere.

The best part is how much Nebraska fans showed their arse when they hired Frost

There only "proven" or "sure fire" coaches are at programs that they're sure to stick with. Frost was a no brainer and look at the result. "Proven" has lost its meaning

Stoops is at that age where I don't think he has the energy to take a rebuilding job from scratch.

The only reasons Stoops would leave are
1. Money (which we have as well)
2. Football is the top program (which fan support for Stoops after cals statement may negate this point)
I agree it doesn't seem like he should want to but coaches do stuff like that now and again. Hopefully he stays

You might want to see Year 1 A.E. (After Eli) for Cutt.

So one bad year warranted firing their winningest coach since Vaught? If you think Pelini shouldn’t have been fired, then Richt and Cutt shouldn’t have been either.

Nebraska should not have fired Frank Solich, but it’s fantasy land to think they’d be much better off with Bo Pelini still as the coach. Have you watched any Bo Pelini teams recently?

He's uniquely qualified to succeed at Kentucky, because of his Rust Belt recruiting to the SEC. He makes Kentucky's location work for them. As long as he's making the bank that makes him happy - I hope he stays. And Kentucky would be fools not to give him the check that makes him happy.

He and Cal both win the SEC, then the school gives Cal a Caddy and Stoops a Zippo.

Come on now, man. We don't deserve that. Let us have him a few more years.

Pelini got fired for being Pelini, not because of his record. It's never a good idea to piss off the people you answer to who cut your check.

If he could win at Utah, he can win in Nebraska. Does he want to risk the hit to his coaching rep if he don't. His name recruits. He'd be their best bet if he's remotely interested. But who dafuq wants to move there?

Come to beautiful Lincoln, Nebraska. Just a few short hours from better states!

Is it a lot more than a few short hours.

They'll settle for a G5 coach or some position coach

They're not getting Pittman or Stoops as they're already at much better jobs

Nebraska needs to readjust their expectations or go G5

I don't think at this point Nebraska has anything that Kentucky doesn't have.

In Nebraska he wouldn’t have a basketball coach reminding him it’s really a basketball school.

They should try and make a run at Matt Campbell
