Very similar to helping someone prepare to go snipe hunting.

Remains to be seen. He's supposed to have a good handle on NIL.

It seems that he can make the tough correct decisions. Cutting football/wrestling at Nebraska Omaha saved their athletic department. The wrestling team was winning national championships and they got cut.

Nebraska not being able to name a president seems to have aided in his decision to leave.

Here's an article about what he did at UNO.

Its more concerning that he left his alma mater than it is impressive A&M got him. He didn’t just leave for money or because A&M is more “prestigious”

This was my reaction, as well. On the surface, it looks like an indication of just how bad the Nebraska situation is.

Is this the same AD that hired and stuck with Scott Frost for 12 years? Something doesn't smell right.

I love that A&M can only gauge success of a hire by seeing how upset a fan base is. Doesn’t scream insecurity at all

managed to pull Alberts away from his alma mater

On reddit, Nebraska fans say Trev ejected to dodge a brewing scandal. Apparently, a female basketball player felt she was pressured into a sexual relationship with a male assistant coach. There is some question as to what Trev knew and when he knew it. The whole story sounds odd to me, but if someone is offering you more money in warmer weather and you don't have to deal with this crap, why not make the move?

I would wager highly that you called Jimbo and Petrino home-run hires as well.

You are reaching and sounding dumb as frick...again.

He ejected because Nebraska still doesn't have a President, and the administration is in disarray

He actually took a less lucrative contract with is 5 years. Very interesting, modern aged hire. Heavy focus on business entrepreneurialship as a strength and operating businesses versus athletic departments as just that.

NIL has completely transformed college atheletics and how Athletic Depts are operated. This could be an innovative, fantastic hire given what I know they were looking for.

Trev did wonders for Nebraska womens volleyball. Broke the record for outdoor attendance I think

For the Aggies, this is a home-run hire.

Yea, all those great hires he made at Nebraska proves this.

Has TAMU ever made a hire that wasn’t a home run?
Nope, they knock all of them into the parking lot. I do recall a few years back the denizens of Texags hated Trev Alberts because he said mean things about them on ESPN, but it's all good now. Lulz

Almost as upset as Florida State fans in 2018.

Spare me the “home run” hires.

He may work out, but there’s a reason “home runs swings” outnumber “home runs” so badly.

Heard on the radio today that one of Alberts first duty at aTm will be dealing with an athletic staff member who murdered his pregnant girlfriend with poison.
