It is likely that the gump board would make that look reasonable if they had been excluded, but WTF cares about either program?

Hate to tell you this but there is a very good chance that most people on the 'committee' had no idea that they even played until people started to raise hell about it

Yeah. Committee is a den of fools.

They could have flipped them any time over the last few weeks but they wait until today? Yeah that reeks.

They’d go B1G. Makes logical sense. All of their historical rivals outside of the service academies are there.

Not really. SEC is better football. Better recruiting territory. Better road environments. More TV eyes. Will be more money next round of TV negotiations. Equal or better than B1G in every other sport.

The only football rivals ND cares about are Navy and USC. They could make that work if they really wanted.

Think about it. Notre Dame scheduling has always been about playing teams far away for exposure and recruiting purposes. They already play half their games in the Midwest. Why would they want to play their other half of games in the midwest too?

Notre Dame should join the ACC or Big XII. Although they do have historical rivals in the Big Ten. Michigan, MSU and USC

That long wolf shite works for a while then everyone gets smart and gangs up on the lone wolf …. It’s what the conferences have done to ND.

It should be about a coherent transparent system that fairly( as best as possible) puts the 12 best teams in. Period Everything else is conversation

I hate that I had had to choose between Bama tears and Notre Dame tears.

I think I’d have rather had the Bama tears.

But for the committee- why not both????

They think they can hold off long enough to let the conference system meld into the superconference.

Need a conference to go to bat for you. ACC got representation because there was no one to look out for them on the committee like the ACC has. Miami jumped Notre Dame because they needed to fit an ACC team in there somewhere.

The committee chair said the exact opposite that conference representation did not come up in discussions and it was solely the head to head. The fact of the matter is they didn’t have another date point to go on and if ND had joined a conference they would have and they would be in if they had won that extra game.

No shite. Corn dogs would rather bama lose than their own team win. Pathetic.

As they well should be, because a three loss Alabama team who got destroyed by Florida State, who actually suck, and got skull dragged last night by Georgia actually got in in front of them.....and that all started about ten days ago with poll moves because it was going to happen by the committee no matter what.
I actually feel sorry for notre dame.

To be fair, they lost to the SEC regular season champion Aggies barely and were the victim of an obvious non-called holding at the end. So now ND is somehow not worthy?

I can’t figure out Notre Dame’s argument.

You don’t want to join a conference, and you lost to Miami head to head in one of the only meaningful games you played all year.

ND has nobody to blame but ND.
