you look at who is involved in the collective, and if it's boosters they can't do it. Pretty easy
Are these private collectives and companies legally obligated to provide to the ncaa the source of their funding?

We beat the gumps on the field and in recruiting just a few months ago. marked the end of an era for the Gumps.
LSU fans keep hating Texas A&M more and more, so we doin' gud' on that front. LSU tried to hire Jimbo and failed, and y'all got cornered into hiring a go-go girl for a coach.
Plenty of winning over here buddy.

What did they think would happen? There is a reason the rules were put in place so long ago.
Hell, college players would play for pro teams at the same time.

Good question.
And it’s pretty easy for a booster to stop “boosting” a CFB program via donations and just start an NIL collective. I guess now we’ll hear of bagmen working to move money from boosters to ex-boosters who run NIL collectives.

and that's what's pissing these people off.
A&M has had to play pretty straight for the last 40 years because the NCAA was looking for a reason to frick us over for the longest time.
Now they can't.
Now we can be a real player.
And that is just pissing in everybody's Cheerios.

In Derrick Crawford we trust.
One off season of misbehavior by that school by the Brazos, and the REC said NOPE!

Or disclose the new investors to the local car dealership who is NILing dudes?
Or disclose the attendees to private party at a private residence who were able to generate an appearance fee for QB1?
I don’t know how it really works, just speculating based on what information is out there that we know about. And knowing that the people with money who want to win will quickly sort out the loopholes.

Boosters are labeled boosters for the rest of their lives.

That makes no sense because your average fan is considered a booster

Says an Alabama fan.... basically admit it, you hate NIL because it means everyone can be paid without having to have a booster base willing to do all sorts of illegitimate business. You hate the portal because it means Bama can't oversign constantly and then hold a year in the boondocks over a player's head if they don't get playing time right away.

Well A@M isn’t disguising it literally at all…. Guess the number one recruiting class was for years of hard work and a growth of a football program lol

Are you nuts? Alabama has made out great in the transfer portal.

Good luck telling athletes they can make money off their likeness, just not from anyone who ever:
quote:
Provided a donation in order to obtain season tickets for any sport at the university.
Participated in or has been a member of an organization promoting the university’s athletics programs.
Made financial contributions to the athletic department or to a university booster organization.
Arranged for or provided employment for enrolled student-athletes.
Assisted or has been requested by university staff to assist in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes.
Assisted in providing benefits to enrolled student athletes or their families.
Been involved otherwise in promoting university athletics.
And this ncaa link just says they have to report it to the school, not ncaa.
Where was it reported the athletes had to disclose to the ncaa?
