State had some mid level talent. Howland just wasn’t the coach that he used to be and was using State as a bridge to retirement.

Auburn looks about right with how we've played. Auburn is a very good team if they shoot it well. They just don't have any good shooters. Probably going to be some WTF games from this team this year.

State at 5 is nuts. I did not think this would even be an NIT team.
Long way to go obviously, but Jans has been an A+ hire so far. Nobody has scored more than 55 on State to this point.

Howland definitely left the program better than he received it, but Jans looks to be the real deal, so far.

We don’t really play any quad 1 games until SEC play. We have Memphis this weekend in Atlanta and we go out west to play USC and Washington so we’ll see what we’ve got. Maybe because those games are on the road they’ll end up being quad ones pending on how they do?

I went to two games this week. They got wrecked by 20 points by GW in a 5k seat venue and then barely beat a really bad Georgetown team.
We also finished 8th out of 8 in the Charleston Classic by getting whacked by Colorado St, Davidson, and Furman.
I know the predictions had us being pretty bad, but I didn’t think it would be this ugly.

Kinda surprised Bama hasn't had 3 quad one games...North Carolina, Michigan St and Connecticut...going 2-1. But I'm too lazy to study what qualifies as quad one lol.
Do have #1 Houston coming up in 5 days...and Gonzaga the week after. Probably the most loaded OOC schedule I've seen from Bama basketball that I can recall off hand.
