You’re one win away from going to the CWS again and all you guys have done all year is shite on Bianco.

If he wasn’t your coach, who would replace him?

Does your dad say Corinth or “co-renth”

Corinth
He always said it was a "mean town." He and his sister both left in the 50's and came to Memphis, but we still have some family there.

In the present day, I think that has some truth to it. But historically, Corinth has been a rugged, blue collar town with the railroads having a big presence, a number of manufacturing jobs and the such. People could call the men and (some women) that worked in those industries “mean” but it was really just the nature of society through those times. For boys growing up you earned your way through “hard knocks “ and for better or worse, you were toughened up as a result.

I get the sense that a few of the folks on this board have that attitude but I have several Ole Miss who are alums that greatly appreciate Coach Bianco and they don’t understand the angst displayed by some of their brethren. All the guy does is win. Winning a Regional, advancing to a SR and or CWS are very difficult.

Mississippi will be favored vs. every team in Omaha aside from the winner of MSU-UGA.

Tre Phelps was ejected and suspended by HP umpire January Javerro, who just happens to be from Mississippi.

Mississippi State now gets to play Georgia without him on the field.

I smell a rat.

I think his comments were probably colored by the activities along the Tennessee border, the area made famous by Buford Pusser. There were a lot of pool halls and honky-tonks in those days where violence was common place.

7-0 is quite the hole, especially without Phelps.
