I know, right? Like Long Island has a 15 run comeback in them at this point in the game. Yeesh.

Wait, how did they score a run with exactly 0 hits or errors?

nm, walks and passed ball. looked it up.

It's utter horseshite the NCAA won't allow run rules or just call a game early when all logic and common sense dictate it.

UGA is beating some hapless sacrificial lamb by 14 runs in the 6th inning but we have to play 3 more fricking innings at 10am tomorrow, before having to play a second game that afternoon against a team that's had their feet kicked up relaxing since midday today. fricking bullshite.

Yup, thats total crap. They do need run rules earlier. Like your example. In softball they have shorter games already but they can pitch more than 1 game in a day if needed too. Baseball is so much different as you wasted 1 pitcher today and then have to send someone else tomorrow to finish up.

UGA decided to play the late game. That's on them. Do they not have weather forecasts, or is UGA just such a johnny come lately to baseball that they dont understand to always pick to play first

DVH tries to teach, but its on the student to absorb the knowledge nuggets

Could have started games earlier if weather was a concern.

Yeah rookie move by Wes Johnson who should know better.

No wonder they never get out of Athens in the postseason

Yes they are and Checketts knew that going in. But he rolled the dice. I have no problem with it. Just didn't work.

So we start Flora vs Holy Cross and go from there.

This couldn't be more incorrect. We absolutely wanted the early game but the networks forced us to play at 7. Then the game got moved up to 5 and the network that strong armed us into playing second didn't even air the game

I’d save him for Game 3. Holy Cross is really bad.. They have played 4 teams with an RPI below 100

0-4 with a -44 run differential

It’s a gamble, but one you have to make imo.. that gives you a good chance to reach the regional final

We need to get some of those Texas mashers to Santa Barbara. It's a different attitude in the Lone Star State

I am not too stoked about our starting catcher possibly breaking his hand when up 21-3.

Would be 4 run rule wins for the league, if they were doing that.

Pretty, pretty , pretty good

Yeah, typically starting catcher is one of the first to be replaced when the game is fully out of reach. Seems a missed opportunity.

Never heard of this being a problem on any Friday of regionals.

Not saying you’re wrong, because we all know $$ & TV have so much more power now. Shame it’s come to this

The tournament is the tournament though. 1-1 or 21-3 you’re still trying to put in good reps.

This OM/ASU game is gonna be a wild one.
No ASU lead is too big with their bullpen, but they won’t stop scoring either
