10 years ago, UCSB walking off Louisville to get to Omaha. A pinch hit grand slam
The cannon at the top of the hill is cool.
Where do you guys find these big boys? Cozart's built like a fullback. If we had someone like him at UCSB we'd have had 45+ wins this season.

Oregon has completely choked this series away
Say wha? Oregon lost game one 11-3 and never led, and was ahead for only a half inning in game 2. That's not choking, that's just getting beat by a better team
Texas back up 6-5. Laced down the left field line
Going to Burns
Yes. He had bladder cancer.

Riojas grinded through it. Gave Texas a chance.
I don't remember ever seeing a bat fly that high like Robbins' did ??
Too many runners LOB the last couple innings
I take some solace in UCSB arguably doing the best of any of the preseason favorites. We weren't national seeds.
It's worth mentioning that Cal Poly, who did make a Super, was preseason #2 in the Big West right behind us and they finished co-champs with us.

OT, but does softball play on turf also or natural grass? I'm just wondering

If Texas rolls Oregon in the supers, I'll almost take solace in that we gave Texas the biggest fits on their way to Omaha.
We got a long ways to go to get there.
Tip of the cap to the Horns. Bevo goes back to back

I've gone to a game there. Eddy Field has one of the most gorgeous backdrops in the country. Malibu, where Pepperdine's campus is located, just captures the SoCal beach vibe well.

We've been trying.
UC Santa Barbara has four regional bids this decade - with three regional finals - and has hosted once. We're on the verge of producing top 5 picks in back to back years (Tyler Bremner was #2 in 2025) with an additional 1st rounder to our credit from 2021. We're doing our part out west.

Normally I'd agree with a regional winning dogpiling from that program is an odd look. But USC baseball was down bad. Prior to their regional last year they had only earned two bids the last two decades. Returning to the Supers for the first time since '05 feels like a breakthrough.

I wish there was more west coast representation. But three teams works all right.
