It was added to the NCAA rule book in 1993 where it basically lay dormant and unenforced until the SEC decided to do use it in 2023.

run rules were used by mutual consent in mid week games long before 2023. It just became an SEC policy for SEC games in 2023. yes, the rule is in there, but it's in there "by conference rule or mutual consent of both coaches before the contest." It's never been any sort of mandatory NCAA thing nor should it be in place for the NCAAT

ASU hitter hit that down the street. Only good news is it was a single homer. Everyone knew this would be a fight. That is why we got the night game.

So would you have kept Elliot in or pulled him? Bianco has always struggled with this.

We had the ASU pitcher on the ropes in the 3rd inning & we allowed him to settle down. That will probably come back to bite us now that it's a tie game.

Or the fact that hosts get to choose the early or late game.

I feel like we could have gotten one more inning out of Elliot.

Has anyone else noticed that the broadcast has stopped showing what the players are majoring in? They really are dropping the whole "student athlete" facade.

Doesn't look like Coastal is gonna be making another run this year. Getting smoked by Northern Illinois.

For 30 years the host has gotten to pick early or late game. You’re telling after 30 years they decided to just frick Georgia? Yeah it’s more likely wherever you heard that is full of shite. Host picks game 1 or 2.

Didn’t Auburn want the night game and not get it?
