What about the 1984 UGA vs Clemson game where Butler kicks the 60+ yarder to win the game? I was at that game and it was crazy. I saw grown men fighting and wrastlin' after the game.

I think for Neyland that's got to be number 1. That play saved the NC season for us. The game was over up to that moment.

You're referring to the "Helium Ball" game? I was sweeping up shards of the smashed radio for months after that game.

UGA has a lot of moments in away stadiums or neutral sites
Run Lindsay in Jacksonville
Herschel Walker run in Neyland
“Hobnail Boot” in Neyland
“Dobbnail boot” is a good option for Sanford.

Not sure about the most iconic, but the Stoernover is in the top five.
Stoernover was in Knoxville. The epic game in Fayetteville was the next year when we beat them and tore the goal posts down after.

I was there for the Prayer at Jordan-Hare. Craziest scene I've ever been a part of, topping when AU knocked off #1 Gators. Can't imagine what the Kick 6 was like.
I was at both
Kick 6 bro. You know how the stadium rocked and you kinda thought something might break for about 30 seconds? Lasted 10 mins after Kick 6

The 1922 Michigan vs. Vanderbilt football game, played October 14, 1922, was a college footballgame between the Michigan Wolverines and Vanderbilt Commodores. The game ended as a scoreless tie. It was the inaugural game at Dudley Field (now known as Vanderbilt Stadium), the first dedicated football stadium in the South.
quote:
The eponymous stadium cost some $200,000 and could seat up to 22,600 people
quote:
The first of its kind in the South,[3][4] the dedication of Dudley Field saw much fanfare. A parade of floats and bands marched through the streets, and Cornelius Vanderbilt IV, the great-great grandson of the university's namesake, made an appearance. Three airplanes flew over the stadium as the Vanderbilt band played 'America.'
quote:
Lt. Herbert Fox of the 136th Air Squadron circled back, flying over the northern goal posts, and dropped a decorated football onto the field which Coach McGugin caught off a single bounce
quote:
The Commodores' lone advantage going into the game was their speed,[25] perhaps not unlike today when teams play Southern schools.[26]During the pregame talk in his dressing room, Coach McGugin famously said "You are going against Yankees, some of whose grandfathers killed your grandfathers in the Civil War."[
quote:
The game saw little offense, featuring the season's top two defenses as measured by points against per game.[41] Vanderbilt punted 17 times, and Michigan punted 10 times
quote:
The best chance to break the tie came early in the first quarter when Vanderbilt was forced to punt from its own 7-yard line.[30] The Wolverines completed their first pass, Doug Roby to Goebel, setting in motion the change in field position which led to their being poised to score inside the 5-yard line.[1] The Commodore punt was partially blocked, giving Michigan the ball at Vanderbilt's 25-yard line. Two end runs, two line bucks, and a forward pass brought them there, first and goal. Some six minutes had gone by at this point.[1]The Commodores' defense stiffened and repelled four attempts at a touchdown. Three runs straight up the middle were stopped before the goal line. Cappon made a yard, Kipke lost one, and Cappon then drove to within a foot of the goal. Vanderbilt captain Jess Neely was heard shouting 'Stop em!'[45][46] On fourth down, Michigan faked a field goal and ran with Harry Kipke off tackle to the right. Kipke was stood up just inches from the end zone.[44][47] One Vanderbilt player even pushed himself off of the goal post, in an attempt to generate a greater backwards push, as the crowd cheered.

From an LSU fan since 82(my first game was a loss to Tulane), my favorite football play of all time is not an LSU play.
Kick 6. All day. When it comes to college sports I'm shamelessly petty, but never angry, and still laugh out loud in disbelief when I watch that play

I do love that play obviously but I don't think its as "iconic" as some of these other ones (for example the Stoernover had a direct impact on the National Championship that year). It was just a win in a season where we didn't really accomplish anything of note.

Easy. Beating #2 Auburn at home to get our first ever #1 ranking.

Outside the box suggestion to join the ranks of Tiger Stadium iconic moments:
"Final score: USC -23. Stanford -24."
That stadium erupted. And though they had a two score lead at the time, Florida's players and fans knew the had just lost that game.

Rocky Block I was just glad to get out of the stadium with a win.
The ones that I remember the stadium being the most insane and at peak were.....
- 1999 Mississippi St - "We covered the decoy"
- 2005 Florida - 1st quarter
- 2005 Tennessee - last 6 minutes
- 2009 LSU - Julio TD and rest of the game
Many of the biggest home game moments in history were in Birmingham, though (Van Tiffin, 1996 Auburn, etc).

In Oxford probably the field storm after beating Alabama in 2014
Goal line stand against State in 1992 was good too (11 plays inside the 10)
