Hope they fly the Jolly Roger on the ship in the Buc's stadium at half mast.
Yep...Venmoed it from his 'Hugh G. Rection' burner phone account.
After he won the second NC in 2018, Dabo spent the off-season at sporting events across the country, hob-knobbing with celebrities, and just being visible. I think his intentions were to promote the Clemson brand, but the unintended effect was to think he had "arrived", IMO. I believe he has lost the hungry underdog mentality that drove him to be the best.

In the past, he went far and wide to hire the best staff -all with proven records of success. Recently, his hires have little to no experience -most glaringly the two new coordinators. His mantra of "best is the standard" has turned into "guess is the standard" -hoping these greenhorns work out. It's like he's committed to a "friends and family" plan for the coaching staff, with little consideration for outside influence.

I think Dabo can rekindle that motivation to be the best; I just hope it doesn't require a lot of subpar performances to do it.
"The gun is fired approximately 150 times a year. The exact number depends on the success of the Aggie football team."

It seems extreme inexperience of the cannon crew played a part in this incident.

Aggie fan glad they didn't get Dabo 'Sweeney'.

Most Clemson fans realize the ACC has no viable future, and the income discrepancy between members of the SEC/B1G and the ACC is only going to grow. Who knows what the final iteration of college football will be when this all shakes out, but for now it's about positioning yourself to be of the "haves", and that is with either the SEC or B1G. Yes, Clemson has historically faired poorly against the SEC, but hopefully recent success will make us an attractive option for one of the two super-conferences...GOR penalty to leave the ACC notwithstanding.
Will we get to see Round 2 of the "trust fund ganstas" parking lot brawl, aka the "Battle of the Brads"?

Three Clemson D-linemen in the top 60 players in the country.

Actually four:
11 - Bryan Bresee (DT)
25 - Myles Murphy (DE)
57 - Tyler Davis (DT)
58 - Xavier Thomas (DE)

The first three are legit, but Xavier Thomas has never been consistent enough to merit this ranking -although he has been getting rave reviews in camp.

Pretty sure 45% of the Georgia fanbase drove themselves into crippling debt during the 2017 run, so I can't imagine what Alabama fans have had to put up with, financially, during the Saban era

When the run first started, it was like, "We've got to do this, because it may never happen again in our lifetimes!"

Eventually at some point it turned into, "Holy shite, Glendale?!"

Yep, junior better crack the books and earn an academic scholarship because his college fund is pert near depleted!

Looks like some folks need a good recipe for crow.

your list is good but honestly, alabama is their own tier. Nobody is fricking close to them, not even remotely.

I agree with this. Last year proved that Bama deserves their own tier, or at least a solid 1(a).

They were 5, 3 , 10 and 7. Alot of the top players out of those classes are either in the NFL, didn't develope or are no longer there. Thomas and Henry were both 5 stars and have done very little. Ross has talent, shows flashes but isn't consistent. Bowman is gone, Kendrick is gone. They have a solid dline, oline not so much.

QB-UGA RB-UGA WR-UGA TE-UGA OL-UGA DL-UGA LB-UGA I would even venture to say UGA has a better secondary but prove to me that UGA isn't better vthan Clemson at every position and significantly better a several.

It's never been about talent disparity with UGA. I would imagine they rarely field teams in which they do not have better overall talent -that's certainly been the case against Clemson. If talent alone was all it took, Georgia should have as many NCs as Alabama.
This year may indeed be different. UGA may have accumulated enough elite talent that they will be able to overcome Kirby's coaching, and their firmly established status as the most underachieving team in all of college football.

And absolutely DESTROYED every team on that list as well

And using your own metric, got absolutely DESTROYED by one of the teams on the list.
Are teams with 9-3 records worthy of the playoff? If the proposed format had been in place since the CFP started in 2014, 15 three-loss teams would have gotten in the playoff.
What I'm able to glean from this post is that the AU and UGA promotional posters are no more accurate in what they are trying to present than the Ol Miss stadium cup representing Johnny Sins as a surgeon.

If I'm not mistaken, no SEC East team has beaten Alabama since South Carolina in 2010. A decade.

Is that right? If so, it's another one of those WTF stats.

So out-of-conference Clemson has beaten Alabama twice as much in a 10 year period than an entire division of Alabama's own conference? That can't be right, can it?

....advice: toughest first year compromise will be “Christmas tradition.” Everyone does it different and everyone thinks their way is the only authentic right way. Open presents when and how? When put up and take down tree? How decorate, cook, eat, visit. wrap... etc. just say yes and ok a lot. It’s good training.

I always thought it was whether the fork tines go up or down in the dishwasher?

Yep. Dabo gonna take every high-profile transfer he can get.

I see it as having the opposite effect. Dabo's use of the transfer portal has been almost nonexistent, but Clemson has lost many to it. Unless Dabo changes his position on the portal, I see it as a chance for the lesser ACC programs to upgrade from Clemson's transfers, rather than the other way around.
