Glad we are finally giving India his shot. Reds fans have been watching him come up through the minors. I remember him at Florida well so I was excited when we got him.

The rumors are we're going to play the stupid service time game with him, so it's gonna be a week or two....whenever it is, before he's the starting 2B. They did same bs with Nick Senzel (Another SEC guy...Tennessee)

I guess we'll find out shortly when we drop our starting lineup. The expectation for the season is we move Mike Moustakas over to 3rd from 2nd, move Eugenio Suarez back to SS (where he played in Detroit when we traded for him) and stick India at 2nd. Joey Votto of course will be holding down first. Thats one solid arse infield.

I had forgotten Smoak is now in Japan after a solid 10-year run in the MLB.

I also just realized Steve Pearce retired last year after playing for every single team in the AL East.

Clarke Schmidt was well on his way to an opening day spot with the NY Yankees until he was placed on the 60-day IL after an elbow issue. MRI showed no ligament damage.

Max Schrock was close to the making the opening day Reds roster until - you guessed it - another injury. hope he gets his shot at the Show later this year.

eta - Wes Clarke reminds me very much of one Steve Pearce. hope Clarke can play for all the AL East teams in his MLB career too.
