Respect to him. Put on a masterclass and we never adjusted.

I've thought this was the best hire in the league in years. Big fan. Wish he wouldn't have dick wiped us for his first game but there ya go.

Yep they kicked our arse up and down the field. As an LSU fan I have to admit that the final score was not indicative of what it felt like to me. It felt like at least a 28 point arse whipping. All I can do is tip my cap them and say congratulations.

On another note: Look how strong the SEC WEST can be this season especially if LSU can get their shite together. I've thought for years that the SEC WEST was the best division in all of college football. It looks like it just got a whole lot better

What else is new? Yet another coaching search screwed up by my illustrious alma mater. We have the defensive guru Pruitt who could barely slow down the offensive juggernaut that is SC

Despite losing to him, he’s great for the SEC.

Home run hire and I'm still shocked State pulled it off. This is me watching State try to find a coach until they got Leach:

Mike Leach in the locker room after the game

So glad he's finally in the SEC. He was my number one choice when our coaching choice started. He was my number one choice the previous coaching search also. Naturally, we didn't get him

He'll get much better talent at State, as compared to his previous coaching stops, and will probably wreck shite in Starkvegas.

I will never root against Leach. I've always been a HUGE fan of his and will continue to be.

I'm glad that Leach isn't coaching in the East. The Vols loss is MSU's gain. It will be interesting to see how Leach and MSU do when they visit Athens and face UGA's defense.

It amazes me that Tennessee turned him away. It's wild that a major program has never hired him

This is where I think "tradition" hurts a major program (one of the few areas). They aren't willing to take a change on such an unorthodox approach from such an vanguard. But State did, and hats off to them. He's got enough talent in his home state to do some serious damage so long as he has the QB to run that system. It's gonna be fun to watch. Like I said in another thread, you can't not like Leach.

I never understood why Florida didn’t go after him. Can you imagine him there with all the athletes in that State? He would destroy WR recruiting for FSU, Miami, UCF etc. They truly missed out on a once in a generation opportunity.
