Anyone else seeing irony?

I guess you can't read. The point was made by one of your homers that Kirby has made his former assistants rich.

I was simply pointing out that Saban has made many more assistants rich, including Kirby.

Boy, you guys are really insecure!

Any time Saban is mentioned in same conversation as Kirby y'all get all crazy and defensive.

I think Mel Tucker, Dan Lanning, Pittman is a pretty good track record for a guy coaching only 6 years.

because she lives in Georgia, it's a tale as old as time. People leave whatever shite situation they're from to move to Georgia for better opportunities, then are gobsmacked that it's *gasp* filled with UGA fans. So they then make up hyperbolic stories about how awful and annoying the fanbase is.

Wrong, grew up in GA and raised a Dawg fan. Father even play at UGA.

I left GA to go to the University of Alabama because even back then I had have a butt full of Bulldog crazy and couldn't take it anymore!

Y'all won the NCG, congrats, but my gosh you act like you are 9-2 against us, oh wait, we are 9-2 against you since Saban came to Tuscaloosa. Maybe you should slow down until you have at least won 2 in a row!

Living the dream by being a "retired" football coach with buyout money still coming in, and he gets to live in Athens.

Does he live in Athens, or does he live out in someplace like Oconee County where sane folks live.

And he's been a HC for 26 years and Kirby's been coaching for 6.

FOUR of his former assts are now P5 HC's making between $4.5 and $9.5 million per year.

He's already produced more p5 coaches from his coaching tree than
Vince Dooley and Mark Richt combined and no,I'm not comparing him to the GOAT but almost ALL of his assts have advanced their careers from either position coaches to coordinators or HC (Pittman) or from coordinator to HC.

Bottom line:Its an excellent career choice to coach in Athens under Kirby and he obviously has keen eye for coaching talent.

Your GA boy brought it up, not me!

If he wants to claim how rich Kirby made his assistants like no one else had, than don’t be upset when someone points out how wrong he is.

I originally brought it up in this thread and it's a pretty amazing accomplishment for a 1st time HC who's only been at it for 6 years.

Wrong about what? Look at the number of his assts who've advanced their career since coming to coach in Athens with 'em

He and his family are staying in the Athens area, they love it here. Will have more to come on this but right now wanted to shoot down any rumors, this decision was made to spend more time as a Father and Husband.

This is really rather comical. All you "men" talking so big trying to insult a woman by telling me to get back in the kitchen, go knit a sweater, etc., I know you are the guys who are absolutely whipped by the women in your lives!
When you have to turn to a sports board to let out all your frustrations about what you are getting at home, it's really pretty sad. Just like the guy who was always picking on gay guy when deep down inside he knew he was actually gay.
Maybe if you would stand up to your wife at home, you wouldn't feel the need to stand up to a poster on a message board that you don't even know, but is just a symbol of the woman who is making you her bit@h at home!

Honestly if I am Will Muschamp, I ride off into the sunset and enjoy retirement. Dude has more failed money than anyone I know and has been as high as he ever will on the coaching tree

Sure thing. I’m sure it had nothing to do with the fact that you didn’t stand a chance of getting into UGA, so you had to find a backup plan.

Ya think? So my Mom and Dad both attended GA, Dad was on the football team, my older brother and sister attended GA and I had another brother who was currently a student at GA at the time. BTW, this was before the HOPE scholarship when UGA started limited the number of qualified GA applicants because too many of them would attend under the HOPE.

Why step down and not retire? Or else why not just take a job within the athletic Dept and work an easy schedule? Kirby wouldn’t want him on staff? Seems strange to me to go from coaching to retired, and not stay active.

These coaches live such odd lives.

Take it from the older guys, you’ll never get those years back. I’d do it in a heartbeat if I had had that money. Takes huge courage though still.

So, you are saying we won but we can't enjoy it until we are 9-2 against Alabama?

With logic like that I'm glad you switched to Alabama.

And aren't you on that same message board? So, that must mean you are the little woman and can't have a say? How much of your posting is due to the frustrations you have at home?

That was your logic, right?
