Your mother sounds a lot like mine. She's 88 and has been a far leftly since about 1990. She voted for Goldwater in 64. Imagine that.

Beginning in 1970 until now so many I've lost count. Notables- Linda Ronstadt, the Allman Brothers, Bruce Springsteen, James Brown (I was 10 years old, and daddy would have killed my older cuz if he had known), Little Feat (no, they never got really big, but only those with the best tastes even deserved to like them).

Sucks to hear that. There are some really nice cabins on abnb. We generally like to rent a cabin and cook most nights. We also like to get out and explore a little but if there’s nothing to do, then we may look into somewhere else.
Been to Gatlinburg so many times we have no interest in going again. Where else would be a good place to rent a cabin and have some shite to do?
Been to Blue Ridge.

Thank you brother. Used to sho nuff dig me some Doobie Brothers. Absolutely great in concert, and it was a100% certainty that I would get laid real good when I got my date back to the crib afterward. They affected hippie chicks like that.
re: Serious question…how did the Tennessee football program fall so far…

Georgia recruits out of state and nation wide because they can.
Tennessee does the same because they have to.

It's a good thing the SEC added Texas to come save their arse...otherwise it would be looking grim

All sidewalk Gators cease to exist. UCF and USF will now gain season ticket holders. Tickles hell out of this Georgia Bulldog.
re: Georgia, why are you so trashy?

Drive down any country road within a 40 mile radius of Gainesville and just inhale the meth cooking in the trailer park.
re: Two years ago today, Auburn fired Bryan Harsin after going 9-12. Hugh Freeze is now 9-13.

Only Auburn could have a coach known as "Tater Tot."

When I was coming up in the 1960s I lived about 5 miles from the best pork barbeque on the planet, Fresh Air Barbeque near Jackson, Ga. In the mid 70s I lived in Bryan, Texas, and frequented all the beef bbq places in the area, and I loved it. Fact is Beef BBQ and pork BBQ are two different things, and thus not comparable. Like I said, I can't get enough of either.

After touring the Montana State campus and facilities last Fall, I am now a fan of the Bobcats. Coach Vigen has them undefeated through 8 games and ranked #2 overall.
I've got friends who retired in Billings, and they go over to Bozeman to see the Bobcats 2 or 3 times a year. The problem is that games later in the year are downright bone chilling cold and they can't seem to raise the money to dome the stadium.
re: The last two GREAT Tennessee coaches

quote:The number 1 reason Fulmer was successful was because Georgia hired a total dud when Dooley retired, and couldn't get rid of him until he took the program down the tubes. The high school talent in Georgia was basically ceded to Tennessee and a bit to FSU too. Both won MNCs during that time. Frankly, Heiple is a better coach than Fulmer, but he doesn't have access to talent like the former did.
The program built and talent assembled in the 90s under Fulmer was just too good at the time for anyone in the SEC that was not named Florida to keep pace with back then. Had it rolling. Starting to roll again fortunately

Oregon is winning this. That defense is salty

I think the mayor of London is named Mohamad something or other, so yep, it's probably done for. On the other hand, you can go to the shires of my ancestors, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, and the rest of the west midlands, and you see very few non English. Kind of reminds me of the way the mountains of North Georgia used to be.

Of course, their student section chant was more ruthless than any other SEC venue I’ve been to…

The Biden Administration’s foreign policy decisions are being made by unelected people in the military industrial complex who are profiting from us being in a constant state of war and the national security state that has more power to undermine our freedoms and liberties when we are in a state of war.
That's the deep state. They have been in power since 9-11, and somewhat in control since Bush I. Trump was an interlude, but you see what they did, and are presently doing, to him.
