Those facts have been stored away for safe keeping down between his wife's legs.

Harvard? Yale? fricking Oxford?

Is he trying to say that Notre Dame has better connections than those?

Every school has connections that will help a player have a successful life after their playing days if they care about that, so this point is just stupid.

What do you expect the guy to say? He is trying to recruit to Notre Dame now.. and he can share this story as part of the sell.

If he had taken the LSU job, he would have given the exact same story with the schools reversed.

That being said, I’m sure it is hard for a guy from the midwest to say no to Notre Dame, even if they haven’t won since 1988. Also, Orgeron is on the hot seat if he has another year or two like last year..

The guy is a pretty good coach though.. I’ll be interested to see how he does at ND.

He won't.

And he'll be fine. We don't expect a NC every year, just to be in contention.

Last year is one most of us who aren't Rantards give a pass on. It was a weird year. But it ended on a high note with a ton of younger classmen not only getting playing experience, but winning games by the end.

People should be wary of LSU the next 2-3 years. Orgeron will win another title with this group.

Understood. But from the outside looking in, I think Freeman would have to take this into consideration.

Winning a title is hard. You need good health, good luck, good coaching and the right players. That being said, I do think LSU will make some noise in the next 2-3 years.

If he has an average season for his LSU tenure he will be fine.

He should win 10 always with the recruiting he’s doing. That one class created issues last year and it was plenty good, they just had more misses than is had the n average with those ranked kids

"There’s a lot of things that go into it… number one is that you still have to attract these kids... they’re attracted to sexy - they’re attracted to the guys that are playing in the NFL."

Wow, Mr. Marcus sounds a little sus. Couldn't land an offer from Aggie?

You are really severely mentally deficient enough to believe that LSU is going to fire Ed O who only in his third season at the helm at LSU went 15 & 0 and not only won an SEC Title by wiping the floor with UGA, but by also obliterating OU and Clemson on the way to a Natty with the greatest college football team EVER in history and at the same time, also reeled in a real cool $55 million dollar bonanza for his university. Not to mention that 15 & 0 season is also the best ever in LSU history.

Meanwhile, Ed O's win-loss record against AP top-10 opponents is 13 & 5 in only four years, which is the best in the country, and Ed O has also finished in the top-five in national recruiting for the past three years in a row and is currently leading the SEC today.

Furthermore, I don't believe there was another head coach in America that could have done a better job than Ed O in 2020 given all of the extenuating circumstances.

Meanwhile, Ed O is not going to have another season like last year ever.

Now that's twice you put your foot in your mouth and that leads me to believe that your dumb mother must have dropped you on your head when you were a little baby. You want to see some noise, you dumb mental midget, watch LSU in 2021. You better get some ear plugs because it is going to be loud.

I don't doubt this. But it is much easier to get a kid eligible in a SEC school than Notre Dame with maybe Vandy being the only exception.
A ton of the Vandy players actually go to Peabody.

Can someone check on the Purple Tiger and make sure he got his breakfast this morning? He clearly woke up a bit on the cranky side..

Learn to read my mind biatch. I should have said..

That means that I think LSU will be pretty good over the next 2-3 years, and maybe even make a run at a title.. and thus Orgeron isn’t going anywhere..

To me it shows signs of intimidation and fear. LSU can make an assistant analyst an NFL offensive coordinator in a years time if you can perform well. He took the safe bet and certainty with Notre Dame but he probably capped his upside. If he showed out at LSU he could pick a school to coach. When's the last time a high end coordinator was hired away from Notre Dame? Not flaming genuinely curious if it's happened recently.

2021 HC @ Vanderbilt
2020 DC @ Notre Dame

Mike Elko
2018 DC @ A&M
2017 DC @ Notre Dame

Mike Sanford Jr
2017 HC @ Western Kentucky
2016 OC @ Notre Dame

Bob Diaco
2014 HC @ Connecticut
2013 DC @ Notre Dame

Chuck Martin
2014 HC @ Miami (OH)
2013 OC @ Notre Dame

So yeah, not sure any of those are greater than the DC @ LSU position.

4 head coaching gigs and the DC job at A&M. Sounds about right.

Sorry but black kids from the deep south dont want to go to that dreary cold university that is still living off what they did last century.

Pushing to ease academic restrictions is what this sounds like to me. Bait for the grievance hustlers to jump in on.
