I honestly can't think of a single head coach in any sport who left LSU for a better college job.

Because the only one you didn't fire was Saban.

For a program that finished in the bottom half of the conference in Football last year, finished 14th in baseball, and dead last in basketball, y'all sure do talk a lot about other people's downfall.

LSU is by all measures a bottom feeder

The Saban run is over, whatever happens from here on is separate.

Y’all would’ve eaten gumbo out of a dead hurricane refrigerator since Burrow left for the season we just had so chill.

I’ve got no dog in this fight, but the swamp rat OP, looks like a moron in this thread.

LSU would cream themselves to even think about a season like bama had last year.

You do know this is Kiffin saying that is what Saban told him. Do you think Kiffin is a credible source on the topic? I think he may have a conflict here potentially

quote:

“I was torn. And when I called Coach Saban and talked it through with him, he said, you know, Lane, you'll always regret if you don't go to LSU. It's the best job in America,” as recalled by Kiffin

Can we be clear on one point… LK is no NS and has introduced an insurmountable level of chaos at LSU before coaching a single game.

The shite show that is LSU 2026 is gonna be VERY entertaining.

I believe DeBoer is a good coach, FWIW. But the problem was always going to be that no matter who Alabama hired in 2023, they were going to be following the greatest dynasty of all time. The expectations are high anyway for any coach in the SEC, but the bar is impossible in Tuscaloosa. The reality is that DeBoer is simply not going to put up the body of work that Saban did, and he probably won’t come anywhere close. But he’ll be alright, he’ll land at another west coast school that appreciates him.

DeBoer has been at Alabama for 2 years and had more wins in each of those seasons than Harsin did his entire Auburn career, and he has 2 winning seasons, something Harsin never accomplished at Auburn.

I don't understand your comparison, fail troll.
