Lunardi hates A&M (State on Bubble)

those 17 victories include wins of projected 3-seed Tennessee, and 1-seed Alabama, while sweeping four SEC programs (Missouri, Auburn, LSU, Florida) en route to our outright second-place finish in the SEC. Good enough for, let’s say, 4 or 5 seeds, right? Well, according to Lunardi’s latest bracket update on Sunday, the Aggies are still projected as a 7-seed less than a day after defeating No. 2-ranked Alabama 67-61 on Saturday afternoon. Oh, and after beating the Tide, the Aggies obtained their 6th Quad 1 win this season, three more than the No. 1 ranked Houston Cougars.
He still has 8 teams in with Mississippi State on the bubble tho.

A&M should be a 5 or 6 at worst. A 7 is ridiculous.

This crap has gone on all year with this dude. It’s fricking annoying bc he acts like he’s the committee. Here is his warning to Buzz from 2 weeks ago about not to complain this year.
quote:
ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi wonders if karma could come for the Texas A&M men’s basketball team.
Last March, Aggie coach Buzz Williams publicly blasted the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee for narrowly excluding his team. A&M is in a much better position now compared to this time last season, but Lunardi questioned what an uninspiring finish could mean for the team. “For their sake, I am hoping they are not right on the edge this year. Because those people (in the committee) can’t help but be human,” Lunardi told GigEm247 in a phone interview Monday. “Suppose if A&M and North Carolina are the last two teams this year. Well, there might be one, two or three leftover committee members who go, ‘That guy just would not shut up. Did he have to put out a term paper?’

State has to beat Florida this week to get in. If they lose that game then that will really hurt their chances

Should be seeded on par with the Vols or better imo. A&M had a pretty monster year.

I need to check State’s record bc I’m surprised they are a bubble team on his latest update.

State losing to a Robbin-less vandy is inexcusable.

Screw that dude, Aggies are playing the best ball in the league right now.
AU made a final four run from a 5 seed and other have made them from lower seeds.
Honestly, you could get a pretty sweet bracket at the 7.

Buzz is awesome. Lunardi is a dick.
Buzz was clearly right last year, and he complained about the injustice in a single press conference. Once. That’s it. He was pissed, he backed up his stance with numbers, and Lunardi is just carrying the water for a committee that doesn’t want to be held accountable.

They’ve had a really good year with it being Jans first year. 20-11 I think

I dislike Lunardi as much as the next person, but what do A&M fans not get about their OOC schedule every season? It's an embarrassment. Quit being scared, and trying to back your way in to March.

If we lose to Florida we are NIT bound

They lost to Murray State, Colorado, Boise State and Wofford and are complaining as usual.

It was an embarrassment and they lost 4 times.

Generally I'd agree but if they do what they did last year nothing past today matters at all.
Almost to a T last year all the results of conference tournaments had no bearing on seeding or who got in.

I think we didn’t get credit for our SECT run last year and that’s what I assumed did us in. We needed the SECT to hit a 20 win season. I could be wrong, but I believe season results, plus the auto bids decide the field.

Yea they didn't give anybody credit for conference tournaments, which was odd because they had in the past. Will be interesting to see if that's here to stay or not.

Bama 1
A&M 4
TN 5
Kentucky 6
MU 7
Ark 9
AU 10
State 11
This is how I would seed the SEC.

Lunardi is a cock. Probably just doing it for clicks since A&M has such a huge alumni base.
