Aggies will be downgraded due to a subpar performance in November and December. 15-3 in the SEC is commendable, with wins over all the big players except for Kentucky, but losses to Murray St, Colorado and Wooford are hard to remove from one's resume, even if you're playing the best basketball in the country now.

A&M is ranked 24th, which loosely translates to a 6 seed.

The only thing worse than their OOC schedule is their record against it.

They finished second in the SEC. The SEC winner got their doors blown off by the worst team in the Big 12.

How good was the SEC? Not sure, but there appeared to be a lot of bad teams in the bottom.

So get rewarded for losing to Houston in November instead of Colorado. That’s dumb. If you are schedulin “Q1 loses” as your strategy, good for you lol that’s not honorable.

Aggies lose on Friday and your falling farther. You have to win the Tournament to get a better seed as an AQ.

It’s more beneficial to play top tier teams and lose than it is to feast on shite mid majors. That’s been established for a while.

That said…and let me be clear, I dislike pretty much anything associated with aTm…aggy is getting shafted. This reminds me of ‘09 LSU.

And definitely don’t lose to those mid majors

The bad losses should hurt A&M, but not to the extent that it will.

Meanwhile, Tennessee goes on a real shite streak and is barely affected.

The last 10 games should be weighed more heavily than the first 10.

Exactly. aTm (at least to me) is looking like a team that might be a trendy pick in the Tourney, especially if they do well in the SECT. I’m thinking they will be a trendy pick that will go down in round 2 or so, and people will realize why they were perceived as underseeded.

In a nutshell, this is a down year in terms of recent SEC depth.

This crap has gone on all year with this dude. It’s fricking annoying bc he acts like he’s the committee. Here is his warning to Buzz from 2 weeks ago about not to complain this year.

aggy deserved to be in last year. I say this as an ardent aggy hater.

It’s a conspiracy! If they seed A&M an 8, and leave State out bc Lunardi said so, we should riot!

Last year aggy won a game in the SECT and Lunardi dropped them in his next bracketology release

Must have been an ugly win.

To the Texas guy above, no Aggies is saying A&M is a Final Four team. Nobody. Sweet 16 is about the ceiling.

They lost to Boise St

They are 27 in NET and it was on a neutral floor. That's not a bad loss.

15-3 league record is bubble?

There is no way Texas A&M is lower than 5 seed.

They beat Auburn at Auburn.

They beat Bama.

We are in NIT if UNC makes it.

Nobody is ignoring the Ags horrific start. but A&M has won what, 17 of their last 20?

The gripe is when comparing resumes to the other teams on the 5-6-7 slots on the bracket.

Lunardi is full of shiiite. Buzz Williams historically has used the early season to figure out his team, and for the team to figure out his coaching. Last year was the same. Those early losses are meaningless. A&M’s record since the start of SEC play has been amazing. 5 wins over top 20 teams, 6 quad 1 wins, Of those wins, not one was a “buzzer beater” or overtime type of win. Williams’ team won those games. Anyone denigrating A&M’s record against a strong SEC is trashing the other SEC schools as well. Especially Bama, Tennessee, Auburn, Kentucky. Miss state deserves an invite as well, they have now played (I’m not exactly sure of the number) 7 top 25 teams.
