I expect Brennan to be much better at the position than LSU has typically been (prior to this year) and running a system that fits him. He will likely throw for a LOT of yards. I do NOT expect him to have the experience or intangibles that championship QBs typically have. Burrow is unique and special.

If CEH returns we will have 3 premier backs with TDP and Emery having gained experience. The pressure on Brennan to carry the load won't be as great. I expect run/pass to get much closer to 50/50 next season.

Maybe your right, but I remember seeing people on the recruiting board saying we need a big time QB that can lead us to the natty

And one of my good friends who’s a Big LSU guy said we need to try Brennan because burrow was a game manager

If Brennan can get 80% of the mental aspect, confidence and toughness that Joe has we’ll be alright. He’s got the arm and enough wheels. I think he’ll be good enough but expect the whining from the Tiger ‘faithful’ to be plenty loud when he doesn’t quite match up to LSUs best ever

Brennan has a stronger arm and exceptionally quick release but hasn’t mastered not throwing the ball 100 mph every pass. Not near as fast as burrow and not near the pocket presence. Has a chance to be just as accurate. He will be very good

There will be some drop off. Might have to settle for Tua type level of play.

Brennan might be more physically talented but replacing Burrow's poise and leadership would be a huge order for anyone. I still don't get how Meyer passed him over. Joe "I Don't Slide" Burrow has the swagger of a Namath.

We'll call next year a "rebuilding" year like we did 2008.

Brady and Brennan will be a lethal combination, especially in his Senior season.

Brennan has gained weight and his skill set is perfect for Bradys Offense.

But Brady will put him in a position to succeed.

I hate to be the one to burst your bubble, but Brady is not the QB coach. That's Steve Ensminger, who besides being the OC is also the QB coach.

As it was under Steve Ensminger's supervision, tutelage, and guidance during the offseason that transformed Joe Burrow from average last season to an inevitable future Heisman winner this season.

Joe Brady, on the other hand, deserves the full credit for transforming LSU's receiver corp from mediocre last season to great this season.

So let's give credit where credit is due. As Steve Ensminger and Joe Brady have a synergy when working together and I hope both remain at LSU for years to come and especially long enough to get and develop that young Arch Manning that will be ready in only a couple of more years.

If only we had a QB guru like Dan Mullen to guide us to an average of 8 wins every season.

Burrow's anticipated replacement is Myles Brennan unless Peter Parrish passes him up. However, no one knows anything about Parrish, although the reports I have read have said he's better than expected so far. Now I can't quantify that cause I have never seen him play since he arrived here at LSU. I watched his high school film, however, and he was really good. Oh yeah, he is also a dual-threat with an accurate arm according to the reports I have read but again, I have not seen him play since he arrived at LSU.

Assuming it is Myles Brennan, he is known to have a good arm but in stark contrast to the tards saying his arm is stronger than Joe Burrow's arm and that he can make the throws Joe Burrow can't make, that's utterly ridiculous as Joe Burrow can make all the throws and make them super accurately at the same time. In other words, those tards obviously don't have the first freaking clue what they are talking about.

How good will he be? It's hard to say. My guess is that he will be pretty good since next season will be his fourth season in the program. Steve Ensminger, who transformed Joe Burrow from average Joe to future Heisman winner Joe will be his QB coach. So it kind of depends on how well he takes to excellent coaching. But I'm sure Ensminger will get the best out of him possible and I hope a little Joe Burrow rubs off on him.

He will certainly be far better than he currently is today if he follows the example created by Joe Burrow of developing accuracy, timing, and chemistry with the receivers during the offseason.

Anyway, my gut feeling is that Brennan will be one of the better QBs in the country and will also become an NFL QB at the end of his playing career at LSU. But nonetheless, I don't think he will be Joe Burrow good though. As Joe Burrow is a once in a generation kind of athlete and those kinds of athletes only come around about once in a generation.

He only needs to gain another 10 or 15 pounds now. As he is up to 211 pounds today.

I think it will depend on whether Joe Brady is still at LSU.

Why? Brady isn't the QB coach? That's Steve Ensminger, OC and QB coach.

Now give Brady all the accolades for the receiver corp improvements, as Brady is the Passing Game Coordinator.

LSU would be wise to hire Cutcliffe as a QB coach

If LSU was wise enough to have hired Cutcliffe to be the QB coach, Joe Burrow would still be the average Joe he was last season, as opposed to the inevitable future Heisman winner he is this season.

I know a lot of you guys have a strong dislike for Coach O and as a result, like to ridicule and make fun of his hires, but nevertheless, the man that transformed Joe Burrow from average Joe last season to future inevitable Heisman winner this season is his current QB coach and OC Steve Ensminger.

Hence, I hope Steve Ensminger hangs on long enough at LSU for LSU to get Arch Manning's commitment and to coach him up into another Heisman winning QB. As Arch Manning's favorite team today is the LSU Tigers. And although it is going unnoticed by you who Joe Burrows QB coach is, I'm sure it's not going unnoticed by the Manning family.

Just kidding, LSU should do all they can to keep him.

Okay, but he is not the one most responsible for Joe Burrow's current success. That would be current OC and QB coach Steve Ensminger.

Now, I believe in giving credit where credit is due. Hence, I credit Passing Game Coordinator Joe Brady for the vast improvement of LSU's wide receiver corps.

Whatever the h3ll Brady is, he's getting attention. I was at work and overheard a few coworkers talking about Brady and what he's brought to the offense. Keep in mind, none of these folks are LSU fans (OSU and UT).

It really is quite funny how things go on this board... 2018, Summer, LSU signs Joe Burrow. SEC fans laugh at LSU picking up a 3rd team scrub from a B10 school. LSU fans point out his HS accomplishments, such as: Passed for 11,416 yards (4th in Ohio HS records) with 157 passing touchdowns (3rd) and rushed for 2,067 yards with 27 rushing touchdowns. Awarded the Ohio Mr. Football Award and Ohio Gatorade Player of the Year Award as a senior. Then the 2018 season plays out with Burrow under center for the first time in his career, and SEC fans point, laugh and call him 50% Joe. Then 2019 practice starts, LSU fans talk about using the spread offense and how this will help Burrow, SEC fans point and laugh, and ask, "how do you realistically expect Burrow to get any better throwing the ball?" The 2019 season starts playing out with Burrow near the top of the country in QB production, and SEC fans all want to know how this happened. "Is this some fluke?" So, yes, QB play should change significantly once Burrow leaves, he's really, really good - as LSU fans have been saying all along.

Yup, all that is dead on...absolutely true.

Listen, anyone who was running neck-in-neck with Dewayne Haskins I knew had to be good. The biggest reaon he didn't start was because as a backup to JT barrett he was hurt and dewayne haskins stepped in and won the game against Michigan. Heck, iMO, I thought he was as good as barrett and haskins...two record setting quarterbacks.
