CBS pumping the B1G now that they no longer broadcast SEC games.
.

I don't think anyone can dispute that Jeremiah Smith and Caleb Downs are the 2 best players in cfb.
OSU doesn't rebuild, they reload. Almost all the starters they lost this year are being replaced by players that had tons of reps last year and were very productive.

It is not Governor Trudeau..... The leader of Canada is the Prime Minister.
I stand in complete solidarity with Canada and it's people. It is a sane country that doesn't have a corrupt government, unlike this country, and the people are decent and kind. How would you like it if the US was THREATENED with annexation just like Nazi Germany DID with Austria and the Czechoslovakia. That's a textbook move of dictators.
Beth Mowins and Tony Romo..... Their voices are so, so annoying. Can't listen to them.
Who cares!!!!! Ohio State just went through the most historic run in CFB history....2 SEC teams and 4 top 7 teams, all by double digits. Your jealousy stands out sir.

Day doesn't deserve to be that high. Two losses and one to a 5 loss Michigan team and wouldn't have even been in the playoffs a season earlier when it was still 4 teams. A junk team helped by a junk system = a junk champion.

He is a darn good coach. How he ever rallied his troops after that devastating loss is phenomenally impressive. Most teams would have folded. And to beat all 4 teams, 3 in the top 5, by double digits is very, very impressive. The guy is 70-10 and has the 2nd best winning % in CFB history.

If Ed O had last year’s offense, do we field a competent defense last year? Would O have righted the ship if he had that offense?

I know he was in complete collapse as a person, but I can’t see him fielding a defense that bad.

JD, Malik, and BTJ are so elite, I wonder if Orgeron would have won more with them?

No, HELL no.
Ohio State spent 80% of their NIL on player retention. Almost all 10 or 11 of those guys are day 1 or 2 picks. They could have gone pro but they came back to accomplish what they were recruited for.
I will say this..... I think Ohio States run at the Championship was the greatest gauntlet in CFB history. 4 top ranked teams with very good defenses, and they dominated Tennessee, Oregon, Texas, ND. Very, very impressive. That Michigan game unleashed the killer instinct in them and made them play to their potential.
Ohio State retained all of their players not only for NIL, but just as importantly, to beat Michigan, win the B!G and win a national title. Almost all of those 10 or so players would have gone in rounds 1-3 and they would have made more money in the NFL. Most of the NIL was spent on retaining their players, and it shows a lot about their culture. Texas and Oregon, those 2 at least, had higher NIL.
He is the Lawrence Taylor of the offensive side of the ball...... You plan your entire gameplan defending him he is so good. He is one of the few "gravitational" players in the sport where he is defended by 2 DB's that put a bracket around him. My comparison (at his age) is Megatron or Randy Moss.
This is all clickbait. He is going nowhere. Why in the heck would you downgrade like that. He is one of the best in the business and just because his gf is from OKC doesn't mean anything.
He is a really good solid coach but I suspect he will lose to his alma mater.

It’s pretty sad that the two teams in the championship both ponied up a lot of money to purchase star starters off of other teams.

That is patently an untruth.
Ohio State spent most of ther NIL money on player retention with top notch players (11) who will go all go in rounds 1-3 with maybe half of that in round 1 of the draft. All of them cound have made more money in the pro's but they wanted to come back and beat Michigan, win the B!G and the national champioship. The most important one is very much in play. This is called team culture. Caleb Downs, Seth McGlaughlin, Quinshon Judkins, Will Howard were awesome additions but they were not the crux of NIL

Before you call something "nonsense" like some 95 year-old academic, at least research the topic.

What difference does it make how much NIL's spend. That's the way of CFB today. Spending NIL doesn't guarantee championship (Look at TAMU from a few years back). It's cult, fit and development that are just as important. NIL money spent 10-12 Million on a guy who will be a freshman next year (Michigan) and Tennessee spent 8M on a QB a few years ago who has just basically been flailing around.

You are right, Zip.....Oregon instead of TAMU. My bad.
