E will be at LSU as long as he wants. Winning is a great motivator to stay

It’s gonna fricking suck. When you lose a senior Heisman candidate as Qb, it sucks. But we usually beat Auburn and Florida every year without a Heisman QB so that won’t change. Bama is a different story. We hope Brady can coach up a new Joe to beat bama. Florida and Auburn, we probably beat most of the time anyway and the Aggie has beat us once in over a decade. We have a harder time with Arkansas than the Aggies.

I think a lot of the offensive success next season comes with us retaining Joe Brady.

Brennan is the assumed heir apparent. He has a bigger arm than Burrow. However, his pre snap reads, progression ability, and leadership are still a giant question mark.

I think it will definitely be a drop off from Burrow, but Chase, Marshall, and McMath will still be around to make him look better.

Not as good as 2019, but definitely better than 2014-2018 is what I feel confident in.

Edit: Brennan just picked up another target with 5 star TE Arik Gilbert.

I love Steve Ensminger for all the man does and has done for LSU. My biggest fear was he’d get scapegoated if things went south. Thankfully they didn’t, and not only that, something happened as a result of O realizing E couldn’t do it by himself.

He hired Brady. Prior to that, the offense wasn’t really improving that rapidly. Since the end of last season it skyrocketed to the top. If that was E, it would’ve rapidly risen throughout last year, but it didn’t. It improved exponentially in the offseason.

Prior to Brady’s hire, Ensminger had Burrow running an offense he wasn’t comfortable in (Burrow’s own admission).

Well, Brennan isn't a runner, but he has a big arm and quick release. A good bit of LSU fans think he's not worth starting, but I believe different. Guy has played in a crappy system for 2 years with mediocre development. With Joe Brady I feel like he'll improve significantly when it's all his. He'll finally practice with the ones and get all the attention.

I'm pretty sure the staff trained Burrow almost like he was the only QB on the roster. There is probably no QB ever that made that much of a jump from year one to hear two starting. This isn't a green freshman to a sophomore with experience, this was a 4th year junior to a 5th year. The the improvement is just downright ridiculous.

That is a great question and tbh no one knows. We were convinced Brantley was going to be the truth after Tebow left and Franks’ 24 TDs last year have been our most this decade (I’d expect Trask to pass that mark).

Uhm...Joe is the Passing Game Coordinator and he is mostly responsible for the drastic improvement of the receiver corp.

Meanwhile, Ensminger is the QB coach and OC and he is mostly responsible for the transformation of Joe Burrow from average Joe last season to inevitable Heisman winner this season.

Actually, it was Ensminger who approached Coach O about getting help and it was also Ensminger who suggested Joe Brady.

It was Brady who new the RPO plays and the Saints offense, but at the same time, he didn't know how to be an OC. So it was a mutual collaboration between the two of them. Although, Ensminger was the General as Coach O says.

Furthermore, Joe Burrow's amazing transformation from average Joe QB last season into inevitable Heisman winner this season is a result of QB coach Steve Ensminger's excellent supervision, tutelage, and guidance.

In addition, the amazing improvement of the wide receiver corps from last season to this season is a direct result of Joe Brady being the passing game coordinator.

As Steve Ensminger and Joe Brady have an amazing synergy when working together cause they both put LSU and the success of the team first and foremost.

Hence, I hope both of them remain at their current spots for as long as they both want to stay at LSU. Or at least until after Arch Manning wins another Heisman Trophy at LSU and then heads off to the NFL.

It’s really hard to tell from the action that’s Brennan has gotten so far. When he gets in the game it’s conservative play calling with the second team. I think he I’ll have some learning to do, but I’m anxious to see how much better he gets in decision making and reading defenses. According to the coaches, he can make all the throws but still has to improve on decision making which comes with experience.

With this new offense, Brennan better get ready to compete. Can you say transfer portal. Elite QB's are changing teams at a crazy pace lately.

I mean yes...

There is no realistic way that quarterback play doesn’t drop some following this year.

Based on his play that I’ve seen, I’m not a believer in Brennan. I expect a huge drop off which sucks because we will be as talented as ever at other positions. hope he proves me different.

A lot of this board laughed at us when Burrow transferred in and said he would suck and now they're implying we won't be able to survive his departure
