I learned from Alabama’s 2010 team and the 2019 team that being a 4 or 5 star guy doesn’t mean a guy is elite the second he steps into the starting role. It’s the actual experience that gets him there. Not saying LSU’s offense won’t be elite, but I’d caution you not to expect them to not miss a beat.

The incoming freshman are higher rated than the players that have left. Not intending to say that they make up for experience issues.
Remember in 2016 when Orgeron took over.. Aranda told Orgeron that LSU had more kickers and punters on the roster than inside linebackers..
Anyway the LB room has been completely rebuilt. Experience and reps will tell us what we have.
The LSU fan base is not used to being like Alabama.. meaning new guys step in and there will be no drop,off. We of course have to prove it again.. and yes LSU will probably be better in 2021 than 2020.
LSU has five difficult games. 2 home three away. Three of those in November. If we split Texas and Florida. We will go into November ... win three go to SEC champ game. Win two out of three and possible playoff probably NY six bowl. Lose two of three go to Cap one or Outback bowl.

Brennan was young when we got Burrow. Also, from all reports, Burrow just edged Brennan in fall camp the first year.
Last Spring, Burrow was out some of Spring ball and Brennan did very well with the 1's.
He won't come close to Joe's production, but he will do very well.
I think he will take his first year lump's like most first year SEC QB's do, but he will be fine. People are going to be quite surprised.
2021 could be huge for him and the team.

I don’t think anyone is arguing about Mond. It’s the fact that you lost your outstanding Heisman winning QB and the architect of your offense, and you are replacing him with an unproven QB.

It is being posted that LSU is losing a record 9 starters to the NFL. Including most of the O and D lines. That’s got to make an impact.

LSU returns 2 of 5 full time starters on the OL. Charles was suspended for 6 games so his back up has plenty of playing time under his belt. So really it's 3 of 5 starters.
LSU loses 2 full time starters from the DL in Chaisson and Lawrence. The DL was revolving door this year and a ton of kids played. They'll be fine there.
It's LB that will be a giant problem. We have tons of talent but not very much experience with our LB guru DC not there anymore. That's the position you want to pay attention to next year.
