The LSU defense next year will be just fine. Only concern is some DL depth and need a stud to replace Patrick Queen at ILB.

It’s crazy how after having probably the best season ever they return both the best WR and DB in college football.

You had better than that when Bama made you L8U. Not really impressed.

I think the rest of the SEC will be fine considering you'll be playing without an offensive line apparently.

You won't find anyone but idiotic homers that will argue LSU had some damn good coaching for the 2019 season.

Which idiotic homers are claiming that Brady was nothing special and that any ol' coach can learn all that he was doing in a single season?

That QB thing. That’s where LSU comes in third in the West. Without Burrow you were third this year. Come on. You know that.

Racey McMath? I kind of hope that he's a stud so that his name gets mentioned a lot. He clocked a few dudes on special teams this year, and made a few catches. He'll be in the mix

Pretty sure he had like a 60 yard TD catch against A&M but I mean who didn’t in that game.

Brennan was such a badass mfer that O went and got an unknown guy from Ohio to start over him. So that unknown guy turned out to be a badass.

Tell me how good Brennan is again?

I bet you're the guy who said Burrow was trash, he couldn't even start at Ohio State.

Apparently you didn't pay attention to the tigers this year. Charles the LT was suspended 6 games and Dare Rosenthal stepped in and played at a high level. Ed Ingram is back and we am know he's good as well as a freshman all American. Hines will replace Cushenburry and rumor has it that he's very good. Donavaughn Campbell will have an opportunity at guard and we all know he is good, not to mention Kardell Thomas. Deculus is back at RT as well. This line is far from being completely overhauled.

It's getting old seeing and hearing the same things. Truth is, LSU is fine and has been on an upswing since O took over but this coming year will be a drop off after the greatest year of all time. He's a solid evaluator / recruiter and we've learned he's willing to swallow pride to bring in the best he can. The main things are having Woodward back in BR and the shadow staff of analysts.

It’s never been a talent issue

Well you are and aren’t correct. Talent level at QB absolutely has been an issue, but not for any other position. But yes your reference to offensive coaching and it’s play calling is correct

But third or fourth in the West is still a better team than 1 or 2 in the East. I also remember a great number of fans and "experts" alike saying Burrow would be the 5th or 6th best QB in the SEC this year.......

But back to...I wouldn't be as concerned with the "players picked clean" BS as I would the coaching situation. Losing Brady and Aranda is no small thing. That's what I would be much more concerned about if I were an LSU fan. Gonna be tough not to have a coaching drop off in my opinion.

And yet a year ago today nobody on this board (including LSU fans) would have any clue who Joe Brady was much less that he would be an elite coach for the 2019 season. Furthermore if you would have said some 30 year old assistant to an assistant coach for the saints would be responsible for the best CFB offense of all time one day a year ago you would have been laughed off this board.

As for as Aranda, as recently as the Ole Miss Game, people on this board (including LSU fans) were saying Aranda was super-overrated and overpaid and some wanted him gone. Not saying they were right but it’s easy to say what your saying with how the season ended but what makes you think O can’t find another rising star like a joe Brady? Not saying LSU will have the best offense in CFB but competitive yes.
