All I know is it's crazy to defile my amateur team with our 5-million-dollar QB with pros who attended an NFL camp and who were paid thousands of dollars, It's a moral outrage, We must protect our highly paid amateurs from these low paid pros or the terrorists have won.

The SEC is not the NCAA. The SEC is warning LSU that no matter what the NCAA elegibility situation is, if you play a player that has signed a pro contract or been on a pro roster you will get punished, not the players. The bylaws grant the conference that ability not the NCAA.

They refuse to see it. The contract stuff really doesn't matter. The NCAA said on 3 occasions that Trinidad had exhausted his eligibility. Ole Miss refused to accept that, got a friendly judge to issue a TRO to allow him to play. The SEC could do the same thing here. "Yeah you've got a TRO but the NCAA says you're ineligible. So you're not welcome to play in the SEC." Its inconsistent. My thing would be if the NCAA says you're not eligible, the conference won't welcome you. Its that easy to avoid all this TRO bullshite.

can only be punished if played outside of a RO, and can only be punished for those times played outside of RO

Not how this works, at all.
He isn't "legally in good standing" due to the TRO, as far as the NCAA is concerned, he's ineligible, they just can't do anything about it right now due to the TRO.

I don't disagree, but if/when Trinidad loses his case vs the NCAA and is declared ineligible, perhaps after the season, he will also have been in violation of the SEC's eligibility rule.
Of which you've already noted, the TRO doesn't apply to as it's a different organization.
Will the SEC penalize Ole Miss? Doubtful, but it's the same logic.

I did. Here is the difference. Suing the NCAA is easy. Get a TRO and push the rest of the court dates until after the season. Then it doesn’t matter. NCAA can’t do anything when you are out of eligibility and move on.
The down side of suing the SEC and playing is the school you play for will get punished for playing you whether you are still there or not. Wright could play this year. Lose in court in March and SEC punish LSU in April.
It’s a completely different situation than suing the NCAA.
