LSU was one of the hottest teams in the country before overlooking Miss State in the SEC Tournament. We now have a prime opportunity to do something a lot of posters on this board said LSU would have no shot at - being tournament champions.

The NIT field this year is as tough as it has ever been. If we can etch our name in basketball immortality by winning the NIT, will you haters finally accept that LSU doesn’t need Wade and we are doing fine without him?

Yea, winning the NIT means you are like the 67th best team.

NIT is for the B-team. If I cared about LSU basketball, the answer would be no, I would not admit that LSU is doing fine.

LSU didn't overlook Mississippi State. They're just a terrible matchup and like the announcers said many times, their game travels well.

Ill be honest, I remember SC's back to back NIT wins. It was really cool. Id say enjoy the heck out of it, and know it could be a springboard

Take this message to your family on TigerRant where the doubters and naysayers reside.

I recall them closing out the regular season by losing at home by 20 points to Mississippi State and also losing by double digits to a down Arkansas team - I don't think anyone outside of East Baton Rouge Parish was calling LSU one of the hottest teams in the country

Unless you are a blueblood, or have been on a great run recently, playing in the NIT is great especially if your team gets hot. I mean what are we here for? To watch our teams compete and compete well.

I'm sure they "overlooked" a team that beat them by 20 points less than 3 weeks earlier. That makes sense.
