This could possibly be the 4th consecutive year Lsu doesn't go to Atlanta. How would Lsu fans view that?

depends on what plays out

saban has only won the sec once since he got to bama - i think bama fans still view his tenure there as highly successful

If the don't go because they lose to another undefeated SECw team, then I'd be fine with it. 3 or more losses, depending on who they were against, not so much.

A top 3 coach in college football should be able to go undefeated at a place like LSU.

Everyone knew the qb controversy after Perrilloux was kicked off the team..we knew we'd have a year or two before we got back in the national title hunt..it would be like if mcelroy got kicked off the team and a rs freshman aj mccarron had to lead the tide..they'd still do well, but without a veteran to step in you're going to have growing pains

I fully expect LSU to make the SECCG this year..AU was just unbelievable last year..

Guess we need to resort to buying players then, huh?

What do all these coaches have in common? None of them have won a NC

or even an SEC Championship.

Yes, I went there. Of all people an Arkie fan should know the SEC is difficult to win.

Spurrier's players laughed at an ESPN reporter in 1995 when she asked them how it felt to be the only major school in Florida that didn't have a national championship.

They told her neither Florida State or Miami had ever won an SEC championship.

She didn't understand but SEC fans do. Winning at other places means nothing.

I like your Florida orange jersey pics.

Do you like them better too?

I missed them after Spurrier took over and saw that they wore them some last year.

Are they going to wear them more?

They remind me of Emmitt Smith.

The mostly blue stuff makes me think "Shiny Pants"

I love the orange jerseys, but a lot of UF fans hated them. I think we will wear them more with WM as the HC. We went back to wearing Orange and Blue for the Spring game.

Coach Miles is a good coach. I do not think he is an elite X&Os coach. However, he does many things right that he doesn't get a lot of credit for.

He hires good assistant coaches (with a few exceptions), and he takes care of those coaches. Even the ones that he gets rid of, he never really fires them. He helps them find other jobs first.

He recruits well. Again, I don't think that he is an elite recruiter because I don't think that he has the charisma (or ability to lie) like a Saban or Meyer to close the deal on some players. I think he is a better evaluator of character than talent. LSU's offseasons have been relatively quiet in terms of the arrests that you normally see at Oregon, Florida, Tennessee, etc.

He is loyal, sometimes to a fault. He has twice passed up "his dream job" of coaching at Michigan. He gave long time assistants chances to be co-defensive coordinators that put him on the hot seat. He kept Crowton around to long. He hasn't given up on JJ. And he used to appear to play seniors instead of more talented underclassman.

Most everyone agrees that Les Miles is a good man. Sometimes this can be a hindrance in the cutthroat business of college football, but I think overall, it helps him be as successful as he is.

If Patterson is the TCU coach then I disagree with your statement. After watching what him and Whittingham have done with less talented teams I would not have one problem with hiring either at Alabama after Saban leaves. My biggest fear when there was speculation Miles
might leave was LSU getting someone like those two or God forbid Harbaugh. Those guys can recruit and obviously get more out of the limited talent they have at their schools than any o the coaches in the sec.
