A year or two back, most fans of other SEC teams were saying how idiotic, quirky and plain wierd Les Miles was. They made fun of LSU and their high hat wearin', grass eatin' coach..He talks loud, talks proud, and sometimes says some off the wall shite...

But his track record speaks for itself. Les has been at LSU since 2005, has a stellar 62-17 record at the school and is 32-15 against SEC schools. This year, most are picking LSU to lose 2-3 games at the most. Miles and his staff have brought miles(no pun intended)of talent to LSU to where they are one of the SEC's top team.

Whenever you think of SEC football, LSU comes to mind. Saturday Night in Death Valley comes to mind. Say what you want about Les Miles' personality, but the man has kept LSU at the top since he took over for Saban(bama fans will whine to the grave that Saban made Miles, but it could not be farther from the truth, since Miles has actually done BETTER even after Saban's recruits were gone)...

So, SEC...Compared to a few years ago, how do you view Les Miles now? Is he a better coach than you thought? How can he continually dominate, season after season, if he is a bad coach?? And if you make fun of him, will you continue to do so even after he and LSU beat you again this season?

We're comin for YOU...buckle ya chinstrap..

I like Les Miles. He is quirky at times but it seems to work out pretty well

I still think Les is lucky as hell. But his track record is good and hard to argue with. I like Les's personality more than I do as him as a coach.

Easy place to recruit. Very fortunate. Not a great head coach.

Very likable guy though

les miles is a good coach who has year in and year out the most incredible stable of talent in the nation.

he's also the luckiest sob i've ever seen.

that said, i really like the guy. he fits perfectly with the lsu asthetic--off the wall, unpredictable, funny as sh*t, mardi gras crazy bizarre....

Every Champion needs luck on their side. AU couldn't have won some of their games last year without a little luck.

How's it an easy place to recruit? Bama and AU poach a few guys out of Louisiana every year. The state isn't exactly deep in recruiting talent. They usually have between 15-30 kids that deserve an LSU offer. Keep in mind you cannot just take all these kids because of positional need. He's a damn good head coach.

One program in a very fruitful state. Yes, a few get pulled out but most of the very good kids there go to LSU...
