She may be right!

In an exclusive interview with The Spun this week, Rutledge was asked what college town is the most underrated in America.

Her answer: Columbia, Missouri, home of the Missouri Tigers.

"It’s funny because I spend a ton of time in the SEC," she said. "And I think a lot of people, when Missouri joined the conference, people felt it was far away. The reality is, that’s the new college football. People travel across the country to see all of their teams. I think Columbia, Missouri is really underrated. There’s so many great places to eat there and it definitely has more of that old school, Big 12 vibe. But they are passionate about college football there and it’s really great in Columbia."

I've only been there once many years ago, but I found it to be a nice town, great campus there at UM, too, and it had some fine eating establishments.

Missouri & Columbia are great additions to the SEC, so go visit the next time your team's visiting to play the Tigers. The variety of the different locales within the SEC is great.

Never been. But the guy who owns the season tickets next to mine told me that it was a pretty cool town.

Como is a solid town. It doesn't have quite the college feel of like an Athens or Oxford, but it's a decent place.

I'd agree with that, to me it has more the feel of Asheville, NC. I think some of that has to do with how their football team has been the last few years. Went there for basketball last winter when my Aggies came to Mizzou and had a great time. Outside of that I have to make the drive up their periodically for the Regional VA hospital and my wife and I always use that as an excuse to get a dinner since we don't have many options in our neck of the woods. One big difference about Mizzou versus other SEC schools and states, once you leave Columbia, nobody cares about Mizzou, this is Chiefs and Cardinals country

When Auburn went, it was terrible, crappy stadium and no one went to the game. (2017, Auburn Won).
Plus, I never found the safe space...

It's extremely underrated. Anyone on here that talks shite about it I'd be 99% sure has never visited.

The downtown area where people hang out and party is kinda sorta like a much smaller scaled down version of downtown Athens.

In terms of “underrated”, my answer is Fayetteville

Laura was not judging the women there based on a 1-10 scale then.

I'd believe anything she said as long as I was nestled between those thighs.

I've been once but it was midweek during the summer and it was practically dead, but I could see how it would be a pretty cool place when classes are in session.
