I didn’t say LSU is gonna hire Kiffin. I said Lane isn’t signing anything with anyone until there’s more clarity at LSU.

His agent will absolutely use LSU to up the ante if the situation presents itself.

Why would he do that if his intent was to leave?

Learned his lesson after 2022 I'd guess.

Was it odd when Nick Saban said in 2006 "I'm not going to be the Alabama coach" then took the job 2 weeks later?

You have to appease your current audience whether you are staying or leaving

Whatever happens with Kiffin, this has been a fun story to follow and it doesnt appear to be ending anytime soon.

This $$$ thing is way out of hand, but it would be soooooooooo sweet if Lane said bye-bye to Oxford and hello to Baton Rouge, LA.

Missing another quote “Perhaps that will play a role into it. But right now they’re just focusing on Ole Miss and the Rebels, and their players telling me they wouldn’t be able to tell (if Kiffin was distracted), so it seems as if Kiffin is in Oxford to stay as far as his communication with them.”

If he makes the playoff, he’ll have more leverage to negotiate after the season.

If he makes the playoffs he's essentially staying put at Ole Miss. No team is hiring a coach after signing day or after the portal opens. UF fired Napier to get the coaching search going now, not to wait until after the playoffs to try and take a shot at a coach.

He clearly doesn’t want a 2022 all over again

that's the x-factor with all the open coaching searches. The quarterfinals are the day the portal opens. Semi-finals are halfway through the portal. National title game is after portal closes. Nearly impossible to pull a coach from a quarterfinals team given the timeline unless you want to completely punt on any incoming transfers while potentially losing your entire team.

How is a Florida fan posting this? Are you hiding in a trash can outside his office. Lol. Y'all are pitiful.
