re: Kelly 3-10 in AP top 10 games. 4th worst ever....

I read somewhere else he was 4-13 in Top 10 games. Strangely, two of those wins were last year in back to back weeks.
#7 Ole Miss was unmasked as a fraud and finished the season unranked
Bama was down by their standards last year but still a good win.
Before that:
2020 - Beat #1 Clemson, then blown out by #3 Clemson later that year.
2018 - Beat #7 Stanford, a team that would finish unranked with 4 losses.
So those are the four wins? Yikes.
By the way, I had not really paid attention to Notre Dame's pretty weak scheduling. There were many years ND would play no or just one ranked team during Kelly's tenure.

Good news:
If "AP top 10 matchup" means, as it certainly must, that he's coaching a top 10 team, then he won't have to worry about dropping to 3-11 anytime this season.

And one of those 3 wins was against you, Alabama last year. Didn't even win the west last year and y'all continue to talk shite like y'all went 15-0 last year. Saban is on his way out. You're going to be 7-5, 8-4 football team after he leaves.

LSU might have won the West but they weren’t half the team Bama was. Georgia would have beaten Bama but I doubt they would have laid 50 points on them like they did on LSU.
