I'm mad we blew it against FSU, I'm flattered to be feather in LSU's cap in an otherwise worthless season.
You should feel good though, it's not easy beating the SEC champions.

After LSU bitch-slapped you, and you squeaked out a last minute win against a weak MS State team, we didn't see anything early in the season to believe that you would be 11-1. And you were coming off a pathetic season the year before.
When you beat Alabama, you received your well-earned respect.
Then you lost to Florida State. Nobody cares about how many rushing yards you had. Only in TnM world was the AU/Bama winner CLEARLY the better team, but the FSU/AU winner was an upset by the inferior opponent. Wake up.

As for "snuck up on". If a top 10 team, like Auburn at the end of the year when they played UGA, Bama, Missouri, and FSU, sneaks up on you then you have a dumb HC. You can claim Auburn snuck up on a few teams early but after Ole Miss and A&M, no one can use that excuse. Its just another lame excuse for people to use to belittle Auburn winning last year.

How is it lost on every AU fan that people say this in reference to going from 3-9 to 12-2? Obviously people realized AU was a quality team by November.

Well, the ricochet off 2 DBs for the win at Georgia saved you, the Kick 6 saved you, barely slid by aTm, got man handled by LSU, lost to ACC FSU 
I mean that's 5 games you should have lost, ya got got extremely lucky and only lost 2 of them

I don't remember ANYBODY outside the state of Missouri thinking Mizzou would win.
Who cares if anyone thinks you "snuck up" on teams? My favorite game in history is the 92 Sugar Bowl where we "snuck up on" Miami.

Exactly and that is my only point for making this thread. The ESPN and others are just lazy parrots of each other. That or just kinda dumb. Or more likely, a combination of the two.
