Did you learn to cry like a bitch like this by watching replays of 92 Iron Bowl pregame when Pat Dye cried in Gene Stallings arms?

LSU was not mentioned once in his post.

He saw the humor in it, and responded similarly. Turn down the super serial bamatard defense some.

I remember this, I was a teenager myself, 34 now. You guys scared the living daylights out of me that day. Same as last year only the situation turned your way.

I mean be real, did you see that coming?

And only won three games the year before, new coach, new coordinators...etc.= AU "snuck up on people" last year

The only people Auburn snuck up on last year was the dumbass talking heads at ESPN and the Alabama Press. By the time Auburn played the meat of their schedule, opponents knew exactly what they were getting with Auburn.

Well Auburn went 0-8 in the SEC the year prior. I mean who could take a team that went winless in conference serious?

after A&M EVERYONE knew that Auburn was a very good team.

I have nothing against Auburn; but I will never understand why Auburn grads/students continue to point to last season's A&M game as some kind quality indicator.
The outcome very easily could (should?) have gone the other way.
A win that was the result of a controversial/bad call--for which the officials subsequently apologized--doesn't make a team "world beaters."
I'll tip my hat where credit is due (e.g., the overall season), but if I were an Auburn grad, I wouldn't continue to point out that game, as if it's proof of anything.

Took notice after Auburn's strong 2nd half
against LSU. Became a believer after
AU whipped A&M. But that was just me.

No, I was so GD petrified the kicker would make it. Van Tiffen all over again was all I could think off. I was preparing to be crushed and inconsolably miserable. I REALLY did not want that 1 second added back. I went into shock when it happened. Just fell over in the floor for a few moments then went beserk, then partied my dick off until sometime after sunrise the next day.

That made the team believe they were good. A&M was thought to be better than they turned out to be when we played.

Remember when the press said AU had to become more balanced, won`t be able to run on georgia`s front seven and definently not Bama`s, then it happens and all they want to talk about is the "lucky" plays and this year it`s the same, defensive coordinators have had a year now, AU could have lost 4 games last year, tired old cliches retreaded.

Let's just say our respective definitions of fair differ.
But yes, y'all were awarded the victory.
All the chest-thumping over the game's outcome is odd; no one will ever convince me otherwise.

Yeah I thought that was the way it was gonna end too, "Van Tiffen all over again" and when Davis got to the 40 I knew I was about to throw up..

Y'all were #7 at the time.

That was a pretty big deal during the season.

FIFY.

Also, Johnny had two chances to make a play after that so there isnt much room for argument.

It certainly isn't. I'd contend the same damnation for Alabama this season too.

If they lose 3-4 games with their schedule they will be calling for blood.
