If both QBs perform as expected Kirby is going to keep everyone happy by playing both. We never needed a feature RB and we don't need a feature QB. If one of the guys wilts under pressure the other will take over. My prediction is for the Dawgs to win every regular season game by double digits and for all to contribute.

Hmm, coach in year zero vs. two-year coach who just went to the National Championship and is in the player's home state.

And we're pretending like Georgia isn't doing ungodly favors for recruits, it's not really apples to apples.

He'll probably see the mistake he made after this year when he realizes that there is no way he's going to dethrone Fromm without an injury or something outside of football. Kids are dumb, it's not really something Mullen could have changed in the month he got to pitch to Fields.

Good luck selling that in the future, and I'm not sure that's the mindset any school has when pitching at a QB. "Share snaps! That'll help your draft stock."

That and self-important "fan" sites like BR where everyone thinks they're an analyst and bona fide sports reporter.

Whoa there Dawg!...I have no interest in any fan civil war over your QBs. I'm just saying that there's not as much difference in QB talent at Georgia, so it could cause disagreements over decisions pertaining to how it's handled....and you're right....it's not a bad problem to have unless you let it get away from you.

If you have 2 quarterbacks, then you don’t have 1.

That’s one of the worst “good” problems to have.

Perhaps Frohm will lose the job and transfer to LSU in time to start when Burrow’s eligibility is done.

This seems to be the ONLY way LSU can get competent QB Play- rely on someone else to develop them out of high school.

Here’s to hoping

I love how all the Georgia fans are claiming it's not an issue.

QB is different. It's ALWAYS an issue.

I honestly have no idea why Fields even went to Georgia. Really dumb decision on his part.

Fromm is white therefore he's smarter, and on top of the obvious has about 1000 snaps experience over Fields. He's proven himself as a leader leading the best against the best. Fields may play. Fields may start, but it won't be before Fromm is gone.

With the obvious fit at AU for Fields and now Fromm's brother being at Auburn I look forward to the loser of this battle enrolling at Auburn soon. Should be a good battle with Bo Nix.

I hope you aren’t serious with this. I’ve met plenty of dumb white people, if you’re being serious you’re definitely one of them.

It isn't an issue.

Fields knows that lots of NFL QBs took redshirts. Fields doesn't expect to redshirt. But he is entering the freshman season knowing that Fromm has a step up.

Perhaps not, but for the kid's Dad to already be insinuating his son may be the best qb, before he has even taken a snap, isn't a great way to start.

"I hope that opens eyes because teams will do it in every [other] spot — tackle, guard, center. They’ll figure a way. But playing the best quarterback, sometimes there’s a big blowback — especially if it’s an unseen commodity.”

Yeah, I understand playing this off, it's probably nothing -- but it's certainly not something you want because it almost sounds like he's already making excuses for Fields not being the starter when he says "there's blowback even if you play the best QB".

That sort of idea seeps into the players, and before you know it Fields is thinking that way.

It's not a big deal right now, but this isn't ideal.

Smart is explicit that the best QB plays. That is why Eason didn't get his job back.

Fields' dad is agreeing with that sentiment.

The rant appears to be losing their minds because a parent talking to the media can't be good (unless his words confirm the singular sentiment coming from the head coach).

You don't think he's suggesting anything at all right there? Look, I know we only like to say good things about our programs, we love them, but even the link suggests it's a critiique.

He is clearly taking a jab at the staff, and it's worse that it's in the public venue.

Most Alabama fans also said that Jalen Hurts' Dad didn't do him any favors, and it's a pretty good bet that Hurts will transfer by year's end, like Eason did, and like one of these guys probably will.

LOL

You aren't using the dad's words. You are using the suggestion of a For Profit Media Outlet.

I'm out. You can believe what you want. Last year, you believed that Florida was going to run the table after the Vanderbilt game. You've got your glasses on and I've got mine. I can agree to disagree on this one.
