He literally said:

But playing the best quarterback, sometimes there’s a big blowback — especially if it’s an unseen commodity.

This has nothing to do with what teams we root for or what color our glasses are.

He is literally taking a jab at UGA's staff. I don't think even with the rosiest red and slobber covered glasses you could see that being taken any other way.

A dad talking about how teams avoid playing the best Quarterbacks because of blowback. Come on, man. I've already said I don't think it means much right now, but it's not encouraging.

Maybe. But it is far from that right now.
The fields family has acknowledged publicly the opportunity to redshirt as a freshman at UGA and still reach their dreams towards the NFL.

Fields is going to get a legitimate shot at starting. And that shot isn't just as a true freshman. He is behind Fromm at the moment. But he is going to do everything possible to overtake him this season and next.

Where it goes from there, UGA will be with the best option. And we can live with that.

About a younger Quarterback taking over the job of a seasoned starter. Are you so drunk that you forgot what position his son was playing?

You would think that because you hope someday he'll transfer to Florida. He won't because Florida is shite.

Why does he say "I hope that opens eyes"?

Why does he even talk about "teams will do it in every [other] spot — tackle, guard, center. But playing the best quarterback, sometimes there’s a big blowback — especially if it’s an unseen commodity.” and who, do you suppose, is the unseen commodity? I mean, we all saw plenty of Tua Tagovailoa even before the UGA game, so he's certainly not talking about him.

It's fine to be optimistic, but don't be naive.

Going to be an issue. U can’t keep a disgruntled parent quiet. He, the Dad, already thinks his son should be the starter.

Fields could have gone ivy league. Fromm was also a good student. Intelligence is a tossup.

Preach when that family turned down Dan Mullen to play for Jim Chaney they cost themselves millions. It is what it is.

FootballScoop is proud to announce that Jim Chaney is the 2017 FootballScoop Quarterbacks Coach of the Year presented by AstroTurf as selected by prior winners.

This is true. Look at Mo Smith and his parents. That absolutely killed Alabama. You've never recovered.

We talked a hell of a lot more about Jalen Hurts' Dad running his mouth than this little bit. Oh yeah, and Jalen's Mom, too, now that I think about it.

What could go wrong....... Reminds me of the Mr. Football from W Monroe several years back that went to LSU but his Dad wouldn't leave the coaching staff alone. Constantly bitching and moaning.

Kid went to Texas and eventually to La Tech.

I understand it has to be tough to have raised a super athlete that you played a role with, but at some point you have to just let it go and let the professionals take over.

Short of someone mistreating your child, S.T.F.U.

He's also state unofficially to someone who suggested that one of the two would have to transfer, that it's BS and that both are gonna play and be happy. That doesn't sound like Hurt's father or Tua's parents going into the playoff last year.

Actually, Tua's parents last year claimed all was good, which wasn't really the case, but that's what they said at the time. Later, after the UGA game, it was revealed that Tua would probably have transferred had he not had the chance to prove he was the better qb. Thing is, he clearly is the better qb so by now, it's roundly expected that he will supplant Hurts by at least the 3rd game of the season. From most accounts it isn't so clear cut at UGA, but since Fields hasn't even taken a snap, those reports could be dead wrong.
