I am an LSU fan.

I have consistently held this standard.

I hate what college sports have become.

You telling me that Chambliss and Pavia came up with the ideas of their extra year of eligibility lawsuits all on their own?

If in the prior year Sankey told a fellow charter member that professionals are not meant to play in college sports and Vandy tried to bring Pavia back then Vandy would be getting same treatment.

Well Junior entered the draft and finished undrafted regardless of verbiage that I copied and pasted.

That verbiage matters a lot.

Sankey said under oath that a player loses college eligibility when he chooses to move on. He defined choice as declaring for the draft or signing a professional contract. Tuihalamaka did neither.

They just think it's arbitrary.

It is and that's evidenced by the fact that the SEC went through several statements before they finally narrowed down to that specific one. And even that's not clearcut as to what type of contract. But the more important point that the OP ignored is the issue would've been obviated if the NCAA had acted in a timely manner to let the players know they were eligible for another year under the 5 for 5 rule.

LSU fans (well, most of them) understand where the delineation mark is. They just think it's arbitrary.

Careful, it's a lubricious slope !

Yes, we know. It is a distinction without a difference that was added after LSU was "known" to be trying to add these players. If the line was created to eliminate some competitive advantage, then it should be defined by how much experience a player has in camp and not when or what piece of paper is signed. This was clearly targeted at LSU and you all know that if this was your school that you would be having none of this hypocritical bullshite.

The standard of “entering the draft” has always been the line.

Players whose eligibility has run out are automatically entered into the draft. They can’t withdraw.

I dont give a shite about that. There is always going to be someone offended they didn't get fair treatment. It might as well be the 2022 class since that class got to enjoy their whole college career of wild, wild west of NIL

You would if it was you. But, that's what the courts are for, to give a shite about people who were wronged, whether you do or not.

Yes, I am aware.

As it should be.

They automatically become professionals.

You can withdraw your name from the draft though, which would give you more room to argue.

Depends on if Kiffin courted lawsuits in return for eligibility and money.

Define courted.

What if it was as simple as Wright / Harris asking their former coach what their options were after seeing all of the other lawsuits across the country and Lane providing that information?

They were wronged less than the honeybadger which never got a dime of NIL.

Spare me the sob story.

I agree that Junior is fine to come back. It's the LSU fans saying after they enter the draft they should not come back in regards to Hutson and several others, but not Junior of course...

How yall just this unaware?

Wright and harris never played a NFL preseason game, not one. They were never on a NFL "Roster" (mini camps/preseason/NFL roster, all three are different in both reality and per the SEC leadership). Wright and Harris never had a NFL contract, they signed a non-gurenteed contract, for it to be real they had to make the NFL Roster (Rookie UDFA) and when SEC leadership cant explain what a "pro" is and you have a member school who played a G league player this calender year and not a penelty was threatend or levied against that school...

So for the SEC deep throating weirdos that cant find the delineation mark of eligibility it is clearly the contract.... blah blah blah you just hate LSU and Lane Kiffin.

You become a professional when you sign a contract and/or get paid.

I graduated from Alabama. "Declaring for the draft" doesn't suddenly make me a professional football player.
