re: Why is Monster Milam not getting love from MLB ?

Because he is short and his bat never really developed into a plus tool. Good college player and i hope he comes back but he does not have a future in professional baseball,

They spent the first 3 months of the season being mostly terrible so not sure how anyone would think they would be tough.
3 outs away though

His family was a bit disfunctional and moved back south shortly after they arrived and he ended up staying in Detroit and supporting himself at the age of 13 and 14 before saving enough money to move back south. He married my mom when they were 18 and 19, worked low paying jobs while mom stayed home, eventually became a policeman working extra jobs my entire childhood to support us, saved as much as he could by almost exclusively investing in CD’s, and my parents are comfortable financially in their 80’s still holding onto conservative CD investments without the advantage of market growth.
All that sounds great, and good for them, but none of that would be possible now. And that is where the criticism comes from. They are holding younger generations to the same standards they grew up in when those standards have not existed in 40 years.
First 5 seasons are great. I was not a fan of the 6th season and the 7th was meh but had a very good finale.
I feel like they had enough good ideas to make 6 strong seasons but stretched it out so the finale lined up with the 10th anniversary of 9/11

Why isnt LSU fighting for Elijah Haven
2 reasons imo
1. They think Pop is better
2. The chances either get playing time next year are low. If Haven is commanding a premium price for what will amount to a backup role for a year then it’s not worth it.

He had a high average and walked more than he struck out. It’s not like he was some scrub, he did good things at a small school. It just didn’t translate.

Is Mississippi State recruiting heavily in Alabama or do a lot of MSU grads end up in Birmingham and their kids choose it because of family ties?
Distance probably a plays a part here. Far enough away to feel like you’re moving off but close enough to where you could come home every weekend if you wanted.

That was at least entertaining

re: Lane leaving Ole Miss vs Saban leaving LSU

The angst towards Saban didn't really get too bad until he started winning at Alabama. People were disappointed that he left for the NFL but i dont remember anyone really being mad at him for it. Lane started getting shite for his decision ( or lack thereof ) even before the egg bowl was played. It only got worse from there.

The game never tells you this but you can also reroll your choices for perks if you don’t like any of your three options. The button is in the bottom left of the screen when choosing. Took me forever to discover this like the tard I am
Thank you for that.
re: When does Alabama, Georgia, Texas, and LSU recruiting typically pick up?

In years previous, summer camp season is the time period where most recruits used to commit. Nowadays I think schools are a lot more cautious with the early recruiting

1 light beer a hour might not even register a number unless you slammed the last one right at the end.

Pretty disingenuous not to include the other 3 SEC teams LSU played.
The first scene in the house and the spider looking creature coming out of the barn made me think it was going to be based on RE7, the rest of the trailer was completely different though. We didnt get 1000 jump cuts though so its definitely trending in the right direction.

Besides losing Reliford and Anding, this has been one of the better springs. Defense came in looking dominant and the offense was able to takeover and gel by the end. Offensive line comes away being the most improved unit and not just because they were so bad.. they actually can run block now.
Amazing what coaching and scheme can do.

Might be just trying to pitch around the weather. Looks like a lot of rain moving in soon

The bad times just make the good times sweeter. No need in bitching about it.

But before the season Mascona said this team had the most talent Jay has ever assembled at LSU
Which was silly because of the talent that was on the the 23 team.
As for this team, it’s hard to completely blame Jay for this years transfers not panning out. Simpson and Yorke both put up video game numbers on smaller teams. I didn’t expect .350 with 25 home runs for either but I didn’t think they would be complete liabilities either.
Dardar and Caraway have been almost exactly what I expected, for better and worse.
