I thought Kade had a good chance of shutting their bats down and figured it would be low scoring. I didn’t expect arky to implode in the 2nd and that basically to be the game.

The thing about Jones is even when he is bad, he accidentally will hit one out of the ballpark. See last weekend.

The only way he comes back is if teams are leery of his injury history and that causes him to slide down passed the point where NIL could realistically be more than a signing bonus.

He is just like every other pitcher, if you can only locate one pitch then batters will eventually just sit on that one pitch. He was effective early on because he would slow hitters down with his change up to the point he was blowing 90 right by people. In recent performances he couldn’t locate that fastball so teams just looked for the change early and he couldn’t get them off balance.

The 23 staff on the whole was much weaker than this years. Skenes was awesome but behind him it was a lot of inconsistency for much of the year.

There are a couple teams that might be able to keep it close with their ace pitching, but once a pro team gets into a college bullpen they would name their score.
