Rock had a hell of a run in hollywood but he might want to take a few years off at this point.

I think it’s pretty safe to say he was a giant a-hole to almost everyone in the business. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say thing nice about him.
I don't want to hate on the BK early years because he did take over a pretty shitty situation and at least made them respectable early. He just never put it all together.
No matter what happens with Lane, he has jumped into Baton Rouge with his best feet forward and is doing everything he can to immerse himself and the program in LA culture. Its hard not to get excited about a coach that does that.

Brett Favre went to USM to play safety
Walter Payton’s only offer was to Kansas State but he declined because he wanted to be closer to home.

Having an offense that can stay on the field longer than 3 plays will help a lot.

Would have liked to see Nic Cage in one of the Saw traps

Voters aged 18-40 have been told since birth that the wealth would eventually trickle down. They haven't seen it. They have seen war, recession, corruption, and the rise of a billionaire class while being told they are "the richest poor people in the world" and should be grateful for that. Factor in a completely dysfunctional 2 party government system where neither party works towards improving the lives of their citizens, and you get people lashing out. And nothing scares the American establishment like the threat of big Socialism, so that's the button they are pushing. I'm old and grabbed my "wealth", but I am genuinely fearful about the economy my college bound teenagers will inherit.
Very well said

No amount of money spent by the AI Lobby is gonna change the fact that most people recognize how horrible these things are. Not just physically, but how horrible AI is for humanity.
I do wonder what people that are pro AI think will happen once AI takes over a bigger chunk of the job market. The amount of jobs created is going to be dwarfed by the number of jobs replaced. What are all those people going to do?

Is that a lot of money for the next 5-7 years?
Depends on what he would get from LSU for the next 3-4 compared to what the mlb offers. The issue is that if a team wants him bad enough to draft him in the top 5 rounds....they are going to be able to overpay to get him to sign.

141st prospect in the 2026 MLB draft.
Would have to fell pretty far from his projection to have any type of chance. Just as a reference, the 141st pick slot value is around 520k.

Gotta be football since there are not any (for the most part) travel teams.
Would depend on if you have to buy or rent the pads yourself. I know the rec league here in town offers rental helmet and shoulder pads for $150 for the season. Not crazy but a decent chunk of money for someone pinching pennies.
Gymnastics is by far the most expensive. I almost choked when i added up all the payments we made last year between the classes and the competitions

Eh, I would be careful with the reach talk until you see him play in a few months.

US Soccer dominance incoming..
Would be very funny if the US went from not giving a shite about soccer to barely giving a shite about soccer and winning the world cup every 4 years

Our government has always been great at spending money on things that do not benefit american citizens
