ESPN college football analyst Paul Finebaum didn't hold back when discussing the initial College Football Playoff rankings released Tuesday night.
During Wednesday's appearance on ESPN's Get Up, Finebaum criticized the selection committee's rankings, particularly Alabama's placement at No. 5.
"It is about as discombobulated a ranking as I've ever seen," Finebaum said. "Trying to make sense out of this would literally drive me crazy."
Finebaum also questioned why Alabama was ranked eight spots ahead of No. 13 Tennessee, which defeated the Crimson Tide earlier this season.
"Alabama has no business being where they are," Finebaum said. "That is truly absurd to have Alabama that far ahead of Tennessee."
