That is a great solution for UF, but it sucks for the SECW.

Get rid of Missouri and Kentucky - Those states were not part of the confederacy and not considered "the South." Damn Yankees.

We gave you Jefferson Davis and bourbon. GTFO.

Confederate flag symbolizes slavery. Black athletes wont be too happy to play under that flag.

Sewanne left on their own

Georgia Tech coach pulled them out. This would not happen today.

Probably not. But the OP, as idiotic as it is, suggested the removal of a charter member. That's not happening. Sewanne, Tulane, and Georgia Tech were not removed. They left on their own accord, for various reasons.

It represents our ancestry, our heritage, the State of Mississippi, etc.

Yes, and it's history and heritage that includes slavery. There are plenty of symbols to love that represent Southern heritage. But a battle flag that represents an army that fought in a war that started because of slavery isn't one of them.

There's nothing balanced about the divisions you suggested, and you know it.

I'm just saying I wish people would start to not ignore the bad but just try to recognize the good in things. To me, a Mississippian, that flag represents my town, my county, and my state. Everyone bad mouths it but you don't see anyone stopping people that protest and destroy buildings and businesses because their 6th cousin had a gun and robbed a store and expected to not be shot. And I'm not saying that is the case with all of them, I just wish that everyone would stop making such big deals out of something that most likely doesn't offend them

There is nothing good that comes from the confederate flag. It represents an enemy army that wanted to destroy this country. There are infinitely better ways to represent southern culture

Im a native Mississippian and it doesn't represent any of that for me.
