You’re going with an early September matchup, between Notre Dame and an unranked Ole Miss, as the biggest game ever played in MS?

So if it's a blow out, one way or the other, still the biggest game ever?

I’d say a matchup between the #2 and #3 teams, for the #1 overall ranking, and a spot in the playoff rankings, is pretty big. Like once in a lifetime for our state, big.

Be just behind the playoff game last year.

This is bigger. And it took your favorite son telling you to frick off to get it

I think this game is bigger than the playoff game.

Ole Miss winning that game against Tulane was a foregone conclusion.

Saturday's game is personal.

Chapman is from Memphis. He caught his wife cheating on him with Lane so he left the athletic department at OM and is now selling used Hyundais in Memphis

For right now, it's a big game, but as a consequential game who's outcome changes anything?
In reality this game is just another game

I feel like that Egg Bowl of 2014 was a big deal.

What are you even talking about? A playoff game is bigger than any regular season game without question. And I don’t know what Archie Manning has to do with any of this.

In terms of national interest and television viewers, it will be number one by a large margin.

Yeah, people who weren’t around don’t remember how electric that was. Couldn’t believe what I was watching

#2 Auburn vs #3 Mississippi St winner would be number 1.

Miss State dominated that one. I think the #3 Auburn at #4 Ole Miss game was only a couple weeks after the Miss State game too.

Grant vs. Pemberton @ Vicksburg was pretty damn big.

I think more eyes may be on this one than the playoff game.

Exactly!

And that it is why it will be the biggest game ever played in Mississippi.
