Or perhaps, maybe, your perception is wrong?

Muschamp from UF to SCAR
Spurrier went to the nfl before going to Columbia so I guess we can’t count that

Damn..I wish I could be that rich.100mil can buy a Lambo, a Mansion, tons of porn actresses for a party weekly, and maids that are only allowed to walk around naked..and a few weeks of groceries in this economy.
I would be bankrupt in a few months prob...but it will be a hell of a few months!
Then I will just back to drive my Dodge Ram and working on motorcycles.

Tubervile was headed to Arkansas back in the day. He caught a ride on a big money delta farmer's private jet to Fayetteville to interview. Deal was done, but he bailed when he was told that it wasn't a unanimous decision amongst the board of trustees.

Ole miss will be the first school to have 2 coaches win a NC for a rival

Tell me about why Lou Holtz was fired for winning 73.5% of the ball games he coached in while at Arkansas?
He went 5-6 his last two years and had already pissed off Frank. Other than ND in 1988 he was just an avg coach that was a great motivator

They have had a couple other coaches leave for other jobs, though.
Holtz to Notre Dame
Hatfield to Clemson
How to tell a dumb mfr. has no clue what they are talking about. Just flappin gums. Do us all a favor and quit posting. You obviously bring nothing to the table. You're irrelevant
Holtz was fired for going 5-6 two years in a row
Nutt was told to leave or get fired in 2006 because the fan base had turned on him

Wasn't there also the issue of Holtz not wanting to recruit Arkansas kids? Seems like alot of Arkansas kids ended up leaving the state because they were never offered.

A mistake.
What does this have to do with Op's topic?

If they were good coaches why were Tuberville and Freeze both fired at Auburn? Jury still out on Kiffin.
Posted on 6/24/26 at 7:28 am to Diamondawg
If your measure of a good coach is being fired then the jury isn’t out on kiffin, he was fired at usc. I also think that’s a bad judge of being a good coach. TT had a win percentage of around .680 while at auburn. Auburn historically has a win percentage of around .620. Coaches lose there stuff throughout careers just like players. We don’t say Michael Jordan wasn’t great look at the wizards years. The hood was fired by New England, Bobby Bowden forced out at fsu good coach though. Mac brown forced out at Tex good coach though.

60-21-2 at Arkansas
100-30-2 at Notre Dame (won 10+ games 5 times in a six year stretch)
took over a really bad situation at South Carolina and turned them into a decent and competitive team.
definitely above "average"

went 9-2-1 in 82 and 6-5 in 83 and got shite canned.
Then he went 100-30-2 at Notre Dame for a decade.
I guess if you take out the 6 year run when he went 64-9-1 and the 7 top 10 finishes over his career, then yea, meh average.

Another that hasn't been mentioned yet.
Dinardo left Vandy for LSU. Not sure if they had another leave for another SEC school, but would assume most get fired. But we shall see about Clark Lea.
