re: Lane didn’t like the low expectations at Ole Miss

Actually, I'd say it is the opposite. Most Ole Miss fans I know are past the point of Lane and his drama. I almost feel sorry for the guy at this point. He has to be a drama queen and make it all about himself.

When is the last time your team lost to a team that played in an SEC championship game then beat that same team in the playoffs?

He signed a financial aid agreement which binds the school to the kid, not the kid to the school.

OM look small and ridiculous for as long as possible. At least through the next recruiting cycle.
You have a proven low character guy(Lane) sitting in a kids living room talking to his parents, trying to spin a legally enforced contract that was breached by two kids, as a negative against Ole Miss?
I'd say the chances of LSU looking very bad are much higher

why sign a rev share agreement if they didn't want to play there?
seriously, we see your spin here but give it a rest....

OleMiss should feel shameful. What a jerk.
I guess Washington is also a "jerk" due to holding their QB responsible due to having signed his rev share agreement, then trying to leave.....you have to draw the line somewhere......I know it is hard for LSU fans to understand this but that doesn't make it go away....if a kid is thinking of leaving, don't sign a rev share....it is really very simple.

You think these kids that are 19 and 20 years old care about contracts
They may not but their reps damn sure should. They either got really bad advise from their reps or were given false info from LSU....you decide.

Do you guys think Lane Kiffin is not going to use the shite out of this to recruit against you guys?
:rotflmao: I wonder if it physically hurts to be as stupid as you appear with this post? What is Lane going to say? If you sign a binding contract with Ole Miss, they will hold you too it? I doubt anyone other than purple and gold fans could spin this that Ole Miss is in the wrong here.
By the way, if this goes to court, don't you think it is going to come out in discovery that these kids or their reps were told to not worry about the buyout, LSU will cover it.

I think most of us with a functioning brain prepared ourselves for this the moment he was hired
Thanks for the honest answer. In reality, I think most Ole Miss fans expected him to be around probably 3 years at the most. He was able to rehab his image("I needed Oxford alot more than Oxford needed me") but it was obviously only for show. Openly using his family to shop jobs while in the middle of a playoff run and trolling his own fanbase were just a few of the "true Lane" examples....good riddance

Be honest. How excruciating was it to lose Lane and Weiss to us then watching Golding get promoted?
Personally, I was ready for Lane to be gone after the Auburn situation in 2022. He should have been terminated for cause at that time. LSU fans will see this as well. When his name is mentioned with a job opening, he will not "put it to bed" so to speak. He'll let it become a distraction to his team like it did in 2022. Thankfully, it did not become an issue last season due to having good leadership in place.
I've said in the past, when Lane decided to move on, they should promote Pete to keep things going....so, we'll see how it goes.
One thing is for sure, Lane will win some games for LSU.....he'll also make everything about himself and by the time he leaves Baton Rouge, LSU fans will be glad to see him go. I have a feeling that once Bama or Texas open up, You guys will see the true Lane.

There’s a reason this story is coming out just one week before media days.
The reason is the buyouts were due 7/1
There is probably a 99% chance that Lane/LSU told these kids not to worry about the buyouts, they would cover.....yet, here we are.......They signed legally binding contracts the week before the dead line and knew the consequences.

They are asking for our help to register 100's of thousands of "new Democrats".....aka 100's of thousands of illegal's....these people are fricking disgusting. They can't win without cheating

we matched any offer that he received from either Florida or LSU....he just wanted to leave and that is fine. he stayed much longer in Oxford than he had at any any other job....it wasn't because we were "broke"

There were LSU/Florida rumors last year from October onward and it didn't derail the season
This is true, however, in 2022, he was rumored to be leaving for Auburn and it completely derailed the season. One thing is for sure, his name will always come up with job openings and he will not do anything to squash it......it will be a distraction.
