I love the schadenfreude, but it will be short-lived.

The Tennessee athletic department went to war with the NCAA over Nico

Y’all thought he was worth something

He was a 5 star QB and the number one overall player on one service, a lot of people thought he was worth something.

Backing him in a lawsuit with a very obvious outcome isn't the tell you think it is, though.

It''s crazy for sure. teenage kid. Family that want's money over anything....It's crazy is all i can say.

Wothout big quick O'lineman and recievers...(don't even get me started on them) he would look like shite.

He'd be better off playing in a Jr league and dominating.....but he'd get very little money.

Tennessee isn't as rich as some TX schols but they will put up some money.

It sux that is what it takes. Saban was smart to get the fuk out when he did.

It's worse than borrowing 200,000 dollars for a DEI scholarship....and asking a fellow student in a STEM class to help figure it out.

.........and FUK Tennessee....but it's coming for us all.

.did i forget to say FUK Tennessee?.....if so ...FUK Tennessee.

He also looks like if you took every race in the world and blended it into 1 person. Someone that would definitely be a ticket scalper at Yankee stadium with other hoodlums if he were born in the Bronx.

If you've ever been to Yankee Stadium, there are thousands of scalpers that look just like him (without the height) outside the stadium. Puerto Rican looking.

And Arkansas too... His QBR was 36.3 in that 19-14 loss.

Nico had a decent year for a redshirt freshman, and I was looking forward to this next year with a season under his belt.

But

Letting him go is the best move for the team going forward, once you bow once you do it a second and third time. You can't blink in this situation and I'm thrilled that Heupel and everyone else refused to.

Going to be interesting to see what type of offensive system and offensive line he ends up with. Tennessee Coach Heupel system probably helped pad up his numbers and I'm not aware of line deficiencies, except against quality teams that Tennessee faced.
It could turn out that moving to a open offensive system in the Big 12 or similar level may improve his draft status?

Rumor is he's negotiating with USC, Oregon, Colorado, and FSU. eh

Nuss is getting 3 million this year. It’s not hard to look up NIL basic deals. You don’t get everything and some are estimates but the general rule is 2-3(+) for a starter. Nico at 2.something made sense. Nico at 3.something just doesn’t

Nico and Jackson Arnold have basically demonstrated (like DJU before them) that paying HS QBs big money is probably not worth it.

Teams are going to wait until QBs show something in college before they pay big bucks.

I can confidently say that as a Georgia fan we would kick in money to keep his sorry butt at Tennessee. Ah well...who is Tennessee's new savior?
