I actually felt the same way when he was here. Glad he's gone and yes, Kirby needs to rethink this one.

Proximity and footprint in the media market says you do. End of story.

I am cautiously optimistic about a much better season but even with the schedule it can't be worse. If things fall into place... sure I could see a CFP berth, but things rarely fall into place for any team. Beamer needs 8 wins. He may stay with 7 but then it will just be tick down to a firing. I like Beamer but he is way too "Daboish" to suit me. LaNorris, Harbor and Stewart will have to all have a great season. I can see 9-10 wins if the season and players play to their ability and the injury bug doesn't bite. That's a hard reality.

quote:The area has gotten much better. There has been a lot of new added, and it sits beside the fairgrounds not in the middle. You haven't been in a while I guess. It's within walking distance of the campus (I know I walked it many times) and like every other stadium it has a mixed bag of fans, alumni and students filling the stadium. The atmosphere is way beyond most stadiums.
due to being located in the middle of the fairgrounds in an unattractive part of town.

You mean the war that millions of people died who never owned a slave,,, but... died to keep rich plantation slave owners rich? That war? Those people were tricked and if they were alive today, they would yell you it was idiotic at best. People are too stupid to understand that it's not our fight that most people die for. We do it today by supporting billionaires and their ability to stay rich by electing people who look after their interest, not the common man... but carry on.

South Carolina Gamecocks’ Regional and CWS Win Streaks
The University of South Carolina Gamecocks baseball team has a storied history in the NCAA tournament, with two of the most notable streaks coming in the College World Series (CWS).
1. NCAA Tournament Win Streak
From 2010 to 2012, South Carolina posted the NCAA record for consecutive wins in the national tournament — 22 straight wins Wikipedia. This streak spanned three consecutive College World Series appearances, during which the Gamecocks won the national championship in 2010 and 2011 and reached the title series in 2012.
2. College World Series Win Streak
In the same 2010–2012 run, South Carolina also set the longest win streak in CWS history — 12 consecutive wins Wikipedia. This streak was achieved while competing for the national title each year, making it one of the most dominant CWS runs in NCAA history.
Summary of the 2010–2012 CWS Run
2010: Won CWS title (7–1, 2–1)
2011: Won CWS title (2–1, 5–2)
2012: Runner-up (5–1, 4–1)
CWS record: 12 straight wins in the series Wikipedia+1
NCAA record: 22 straight NCAA tournament wins Wikipedia
These streaks cemented South Carolina’s place among the most successful programs in college baseball history, especially in the postseason.

Hey dipstick who can't comprehend what I said/ "MOST" not all. There is not a team in the SEC that wouldn't try to flip all of Alabama's recruits. You cannot say that about "MOST" teams. Geez...

Quality vs quantity. Big difference. They are up there with quality. The rest of the teams have a whole lot of players Bama wouldn't want nor recruited. The numbers don't tell the story because it just gives points for number of kids. It's not going to tell the true story. I am not a Bama fan but to diss this is almost comical.

quote:This might seem a bit shocking but according to Jewish law, if a male baby is less than 30 days old, he is not considered a person.
I think it is a human life so I am Pro-Life, just confused by the logic here.
The reason is because according to Torah, a male child has to be at least one month old before it can be redeemed.
See, ONLY a redeemed person can be substituted for another redeemed person.

Hate to break it to you but just an attitude will sink your draft prospects... ask the Sanders kid how that worked out and this is waaaaay worse.

Does this kid think he is going to have an NFL career or is bankable candidate for sponsorship in any arena? He should have just bowed out and try to rehab his athletic career. He is now a black sheep that most of the country will not accept in any manner. If he has a gambling addiction, then a drug or alcohol addiction could possibly be a future problem. He is not someone who now has a bright future and trust me... Texas Tech will cut him loose if he doesn't produce BIG. Just a rant about the stupid shite that CFB has become.

Those were in a different era and a less complicated scenario. With the money through the conference and media contracts this would be a chaotic disaster that no one will want to attempt. It would be great to do it... but... it's never going to happen.
