Yet Spurrier understands that embracing the new wrinkles of college football is the only way to win. When asked for his thoughts on Ole Miss signing a player who was already signed and taking classes at Clemson, Spurrier started getting on Tigers coach Dabo Swinney. “I thought by now somebody would have told Dabo, ‘Dabo, there ain’t no rules anymore,’” Spurrier said. “I don’t know if they’re ever gonna enforce any rules now or not.” He continued: “You can complain, but I don’t know how (much) good it’s gonna do. There’s no rules.”

"Your" intellectual level is showing. It's either "you are right or you're right".

Well, if you did t see this coming, you are ignorant. State beat Tennessee in Knoxville and then got beat down by that racist bitch at USC.
So... If someone comes out to support their race, then they are racist???? You might be the real racist here. Dawn has supported white and black WBB coaches and players. You must subscribe to the KKK Times. Geez...

We don't. And I've worked in South Carolina. Neither do you.
There seems to be a lot of people who disagree

Too dumb to know the Metro had no football teams.

No argument from me...
Ever heard the word satirical ???????
Louisiana is the only place that when a hurricane hits... they go out and assess the improvements.

No wonder South Carolina sucks. What the trooper did was wrong, but damn Beamer’s players are soft.
You might be the stupid one. This trooper needs to be held accountable. He did this... on national television with millions watching... hundreds of thousand watching from the stands... and 2 entire football teams and their staff watching... what would this idiot trooper do when he stopped you or your family with no one watching??? I guess then you might say your family was soft? No... you would want the guy held accountable for running into you or your kid on purpose. Geez... be careful with what you call stupid...
Same crap... different day. You guys are delusional on a grand scale.
Congratulations.. you get my vote for the most idiotic thread for the day.

Maybe they're hoping Briles is the magic pill to fix everything in Columbia...
You think? Geez.. my whole point is now they added another 10 million or more to the buyout. Beamer has run his mouth too much after the season and brought even more pressure on himself. He painted himself into a box that he could have avoided. Just bring them in and don't make promises to the base about the CFP.... I like Beamer but damn....
Beamer's hot seat won't effect this if he can't get it right.

Briles agreed to a three-year contract with the Gamecocks that will pay him an average of $2.1 million annually. Former South Carolina OC Mike Shula earned $1.1 million in 2025. Drayton, whose running backs coach title extends to assistant head coach for offense, also signed a three-year contract worth $775,000 a year. Clements, meanwhile, agreed to a two-year contract worth $725,000 per year.

They are getting rid of 4100 seats for just 42 boxes?
Yes.. those seats bring in thousands, and the suits will bring in millions. It's all about the money and it always will be. The whole thing is running on media contracts and overpriced seating. Welcome to 2025 and the scumbag billionaires that control you and all your information. You let it happen and now you wanna bitch? Spare me.

Why fire a coach for an affair?
If the contract says... no affairs... then you get fired for having an affair. The dumb arse agreed to it so it's all his damn fault. Geez...
quote:

It's only a matter of time
I call BS. There is not 1 school that would leave this cash cow... and for what? The B1G will fall behind the SEC in payouts when the next contracts come up. It would be idiotic for any team to leave the SEC or B1G and the only thing more idiotic is to suggest "it's only a matter of time." Geez...

LSU should be able to sue Nuss for the NIL money he stole this year.
Your employer may say the same about you...
quote:

Yea, I don't see how UGA can get that money.
That would depend on a number of factors including whether he was a minor when he signed it. They could attach themselves to any future earnings but it will be interesting to see how this will play out.
Right now, with the portal and NIL, there is no stability for any program. Oklahoma and our year is a prime example. You play the NIL lottery and one season you win and the next you don't. If you pay for a QB but not an offensive line... you're screwed. If you don't invest in a defense as well as the offense... you're screwed. The "new" norm is a crap shoot and changing coaches is actually not the total solution. You have to have good coaches, but you have to have a paid roster to go with it. Beamer was s good coach last year and Venables was a horrible coach. This year Beamer is a horrible coach and Venables is a good coach. Next year that could flip again. There are exceptions (here's looking at you Vandy) but there will be fewer exceptions. We can't all have a winning season. There will be a 1-11 record to match the 11-1 record or a 2-10 record to match a 10-2 record. It can't happen any other way because there will never be a season of most teams are 6-6. Some things will never change and that is one of them. When players make more than the coaches then the true NFL conversion will be complete. Just my opinion.
Kiffin looks like he's a 70-year-old man. What happened to the guy. Stress must be eating him alive.
