Us too.
DeBoer is starting to exhibit many of the Brian Kelly warning signs.
They struggle a lot more than they should, but they still win enough for the fanbase to make excuses for them.

I agree CKD is not in the hot seat. It’s foolish to think he is. The issue isn’t his wins vs losses. The issue is how they lose. Losing close games vs blowouts is viewed differently in the long run. And losing by double digits to FSU who only managed two other P4 wins (Wake Forest and Va Tech) and finished 5-7 will be one of those losses that is remembered.
Yes making the SECCG and the playoffs marks a good season for any school, but getting bent over and losing 2 of their last 3 games by a combined 66-10 is… well…concerning.
But to me the most concerning part (for bama) is the way the team appears to be weak mentally and soft physically. It’s almost like overnight they went from being a disciplined, well coached team that just instilled fear in their opponents to a team that’s just happy to be there. They went from acting like professionals in everything they do… to… something else.
Do any of you for one second Saban and his process would have allowed Ryan Williams shenanigans?
I’m not like most people on here. I’ve lived all across this country from the NE to the MidWest to the NW to the SE and if all my travels have taught me anything, it’s this. I pull for Auburn 1st, State 2nd, and conference 3rd. I have found myself arguing for everyone in the conference from Bama to Vandy. I want to see Auburn succeed, I want bama, USA, Troy, UAB and JaxState to succeed. And when we aren’t playing each other I want anyone in the conference to succeed. I say this because I want it known I’m not talking shite about bama… frankly I’d give my left nut for Auburn to have had half bamas success over the last decade. The past two years included.

Yes. I think this because we saw him allow even worse shenanigans with Jalen Milroe. Remember the whole LANK thing?
The fact is in this new era of NIL and transfer portal college football, coaches can’t run a disciplinary program with an iron fist. If you do, the players that get their feelings hurt - and it is a a lot of them - will transfer out at the next opportunity.
That is at the core of why Saban retired. He realized his way - hard discipline- the way he managed and coached his teams his whole life - simply isn’t really an option now days. That is also why he bolted from the NFL - the power structure is completely different.
The whole power dynamic has changed in college football. Now the players have as much or more power than coaches, even more so than NFL players.
Used to, players were hungry for NFL money. Now many players are making more in college than they would in the NFL. And if the coach is too hard and strict then just move on to the next school.

I don't disagree with everything you are saying here, but the lack of discipline started in 2021. I'd actually argue that 2025 Bama was the most disciplined team since 2020.
And there were several games last season where the team displayed a strong mental, and physical fortitude. You don't win close games against good teams by being soft mentally, and physically.
The problem last year was they didn't show up the first game of the season against FSU. We basically gave the game away to OU, and then proved that we were clearly better than them in the first round of the playoffs.
By the time the SECCG rolled around, our offense was kind of in shambles. Our run game had hit a brick wall. Our D was about as physical as UGA in that game, but they got wore down because they were on the field for most of the game. Indiana was just a buzz saw. It sucked that we got spanked like we did, but they were just much better than everyone else when it was playoff time. It is what it is.
So, I'd say mental and physical consistency was the main thing that was lacking last year, which to your point, that was what Saban excelled at better than pretty much anyone to ever do it.
