So is signing 7 of the supposedly top 9 in TX really a big deal?

Impressive to get 6/10 but unless there’s a need in the defensive backfield, I don’t think it’s good roster management. This was Miles’ problem towards the end—signing too many skill position players who would sit on the bench and neglect the OLine and Defensive front seven in recruiting.

Texas lost an in-state OL to KANSAS.
Texas has a kid decommit to dogn with PURDUE

ALL the players in the top 10 has committed to Herman before this season started. Once they lost to Maryland all recruiting momentum stopped.

Watch their 2019 class. It will not be as highly rated. Expect Oklahoma, A&M, LSU, and even Arkansas to do more damage to Texas recruiting next cycle.

yea that 7 on 7 team hes loading up on will be dangerous at state next year

We were no better under Sumlin, but there is a lot of truth in this. Texas high schools don’t produce elite LB’s at all, and are punching well below their weight on DL and DB.

Until we recruit well for these positions in places like GA, AL, FL, and other areas in the SE, we will be soft, too. Frustrating as hell that Sumlin never did much about this. Hoping Jimbo sees it better and can get at least a few from back home.

So you dummies expected Fisher to come in, assemble a staff, and recruit lights out in a couple of weeks eh?

Obviously you don't even realize that Herman didn't recruit well at Texas last year, with even more time.

You know what just occurred to me? Herman and Fisher both turned down LSU. That's gotta sting. In fact, Fisher has turned down LSU twice in the last 2 years. That'll leave a scar.

What I'm impressed with is the following:

-With the exception of Brown, Fisher has maintained all of Sumlin's commits. (Brown hasn't signed a letter of intent yet, so it's still not certain he signs with Alabama)

-In the 3 weeks he's been on the job, he pulled in two JUCO players at critical need, TE Jace Sternberger and DT Mohammed Dialo (who Fisher flipped from Oregon).

Ask the op? And the 100’s of other LSU fans that started threads about Aggie just in the last month?

You Aggies are fricked totally. Jimbo crashed into a goldmine at your expense.

That’s odd, all I see are Aggie bashing LSU threads?

Herman is fricked. He did a great job with DBs and WRs in this class, but struck out with OL and DL. Jimbo at A&M, plus Herman's team being so shitty this year, plus the locker room rebellion and all the transfers...the writing is on the wall - Herman is already done, and it won't be long before UT is paying him to beat Tech from USF or somesuch program.

Which is odd since that was where they were desperate for talent.
