To some people that really is not that much money and there are plenty of others who would skimp on a few things to be able to buy the tickets.
Myself, instead of paying that kind of money to be there I would just fire up the TV, buy a bottle of bourbon and watch it from the comfort of my home, complete with my private bathroom and my own kitchen.

Each to his or her own

Have you ever thought that it just may be designed to keep poor-arse, low life motherfrickers like you away?

If op team was undefeated, ranked #1 with a Heisman type quarterback, playing their most hated rival at home, favored by 3 plus touchdowns, would this thread exist?

I could buy 4 really good tvs at 4 family members for that price and be just as satisfied for staying at home.
1. Please do that.
2. You don't understand how the free market works.

but at least make sure that the actual fans of said events can enjoy the actual event as well in person.

Why triple the price?

It's called supply and demand. It's almost as pure and untouched a supply and demand system as exists on the planet. Prices immediately fluctuate based on demand and timing with near zero outside forces on the price point.

There are poeple who pay close to $100,000. for a nice Mercedes. There are poeple who drive ragged out Pintos.
You sound like a Pinto driver.

Face value is $100.00, so a $200.00 ticket in the lower level (there are some right now) is a good price.

Especially at a $1,160 budget for one day (4 People).

Why not do that instead?

Call Auburn fans whatever you want, but we understand money.

Oh. I'm not defended his retarded logic (though ticket prices are high). Just the weird as tv comment.

This guy just keeps sucking worse and worse

"OMG like Iron Bowl tickets are expensive on the secondary market"

No shite, genius. People were selling their 25 dollar student ticket to this game for a couple hundred 20 years ago.

I’m a Bama fan that still has all of his (front) teeth but this remark still made me laugh.

I guess the same could be said for any of the SEC schools but funny nonetheless.

Hell and that is fairly cheap for an IB. I remember folks trying to sell 2013 IB tickets for over a grand per seat.

It is, and they'll likely drop some this week. I've been watching the prices, and they've been pretty flat for the past month or so. You could probably find some $150 ones outside the stadium Saturday if you're patient.
